You can actually drag the right edge of the chord to make it last for less than one measure.

Good to know. I bought this yesterday. Wasn't as immediately intuitive as I thought it'd be, but I got the hang of it.

Soon, I was making some rather pleasant progressions. Not exactly sure what I'm doing, but the results are very good so far. :)

Also like the way each midi track stays separate once you export to Auria Pro.

It's been said that Klimper Composition "suggests" after the notes are added. I can't find anything that looks like a "suggestion". Where is that?

The tempo and such are off and much faster once exported/imported into Auria Pro. Easy to adjust, but I wonder if this is the bug mentioned and why it's on sale until the next update?

I read a message from the developer on twitter where he recently told a user that Link and midi-out would be coming in an update.

  • If you highlight a bunch of notes in the piano roll it brings up suggestions for additional chords.

  • link and midi out would be amazing.

  • yep, that would be great

@skiphunt select some notes and tap the magnifying glass icon, this suggests chords that go with those notes selected

    @nick & @BiancaNeve thanks!

Once you select some notes, then hit magnifying glass, are the chords suggested most favorably the larger size disks, and the smaller disks lesser so?

you guessed it right, the bigger the better

  • Never mind. I think I get the syntax of this app now. Nice! Might have to upgrade my impression from like to love. :)

Thanks. Do you know of an app that I can import Klimper Composition's midi file and see a virtual keyboard being played? Suggester does this but it doesn't have midi import as far as I can tell.

crudebyte apps like cmp grand piano or iSymphonic can import midi files and highlight the notes on the keyboard during playback

Thanks! I've tried several I already have but have yet to find one. I thought Genome did that but doesn't look like it does.

  • Infinite/Aleph Looper does this now.

Thanks, I saw an import midi feature in aleph, but it doesn't give me any way to select what I want to import. Can't export to it either.

Try the recent thread about the update. I think that was mentioned— don't recall if it was a walkthrough, workaround or looming bug-fix.

Thanks. Skimmed the entire thread. Only found this one mention regarding midi import bugs in Aleph by @SecretBaseDesign but I'm not sure if it's related.. "And found a glitch in the MIDI import this morning (for files that have running condition codes... gaah! I hate MIDI some times), and have that fixed. Will probably push out a quickie fix in the next few day..."

Also discovered that Klimper Composition's exported midi file into @Hypertonal 's Dhalang MG, wouldn't show up until I renamed it with a .mid instead of the extension .midi that Klimper appends.

Maybe this is all related somehow to the stated Klimper bugs. Will put it on the back burner for now, but I'm still digging it. Midi export somewhat works ok into Auria Pro with a few tweaks after import.
