  • I was hoping for a "one more thing" but alas no joy...64 steps are way cool though

You've got to work on your game theory there Mister; when they finally invite you into their bed the first thing they hear shouldn't be that you're disappointed with the color of the blankets :)

  • In other news: YAY 64 STEPS!

    Indeed :)

Wow, this is an unexpected and amazing update. Flawless app. I'm having more fun with Troublemaker than I have had with any other app I can name. All it needs now is a little 'fine tuning' ( ;) ) and this thing'll be perfect!

  • It's live already? Cool! Apple forgot to notify me, but that doesn't really matter.

Have fun! This was by far the most requested feature on the wishlist :)

    YES!

I get Patterning or Elastic Drums going, little bit of ReSlice, and crank up Troublemaker and... bliss. So good.

Is there a wishlist somewhere?I still hope there are some more people wanting the sequencer in the AU version ;)

    Thanks for the update

Patterning and 2 instances of Ruismaker on different devices here, introduction a bit of step skipping and other mutation and it's polyrhythmic heaven. Mapped the Ruismaker controls of both devices to the same MIDI controller (one dial controls the same parameters on each) and I could just sit and turn dials for hours. I have as much fun using it as a free running synth too, as with the sequencer.

I'm excited to play with the extended sequencer now. I was already making plans in my head about how to compose longer sequences using Modstep and Troublemaker together. Now it just got a lot easier!

Heartrendingly (for me) though, is that without a fine tune dial I can't use the thing live. I'm hoping to see it appear in a future update. In the meantime it's almost a full time feature in my living room!

I should definitely join in more with sharing music on here, but in the rare times I get a chance to work something that's not designated for a specific project (for performance or release dates set in the future) then I usually just end up noodling around and riffing my way into escapism heaven (Troublemaker is perfect for this because I can just let it run and turn dials sometimes while doing other things!). All my iOS setups are based around live performances and even my AUM setups are badly designed for recording (I never have any buses left to extract a general mix) so I don't normally bother.

However, I will endeavor to share more 'music for fun' in the future, and there are also two albums for release later this year which I've used iOS stuff on. Both interesting and varied in different ways.

A man of your evident perspicacity should be able to knock off something to grace the SOTMC with in no time :)

  • It's so easy to knock out cool grooves with Troublemaker that it almost feels like cheating for "songs".

The insane burbling was off the scale (which musical scale I couldn't tell you).

I noodled a bit of Thumbjam over the top too because, well, it's Thumbjam (an ever present app for many years).

Leaving my wifi hot spot at home "forced" me into creating rather than consuming, I should do it WAY more often.

  • @brambos I love you. Any chance we can get a scale lock ? You'd pretty much answer all my requests if we got it :D

  • Bram Bos for president! :)
    Helemaal te gek!
    :)

  • @brambos Tiny problem. When I export midi with note length 8, everything's fine but exporting midi with note lengths over 16 is looking and sounding wrong in audioshare and also crashing modstep. Its not every pattern but its quite a lot. Something looks like its iffy
