+1, Virsyn apps are usually insta-buys for me.
Have found now the reason for the missing presets: It's important to first start the stand alone app after updating. This makes sure that the presets are copied to the new shared location used by both stand alone and AudioUnit.
If the AudioUnit is started first, it goes stuck unluckily. If you came into this situation and you don't want to loose your own presets please wait for the next update ( it's on the way to the store already ). If you have a backup then just get your back up and start the standalone first as described.
Sorry for the mess...
I noticed that the AU version only shows presets from the leads folder, maybe this will be fixed in the new update too.
Use the built in memories in the app instead of the AU, it's at the right of the easy control page
Let me rephrase. I do mean the AU app. The built in save on the easy control page of the AU works for presets and saving too. It shares between the AU and standalone app too.
Ok, thanks got it
I'm having nothing but problems with the Addictive Synth Pro AU plugin on Cubasis and GarageBand. When I create a project with about 5 instances of Addictive Synth Pro AU plugins in Cubasis on my iPad Pro (9.7 iOS 10.2.1) and I close Cubasis and reopen Cubasis, Cubasis crashes when reloading the Addictive Synth Pro AU plugins. Cubasis instead loads an empty project. I have tried rebooting my iPad Pro and I have tried reinstalling Addictive Synth Pro and opening the standalone app first but nothing is working. Help.
Thank you! this baby has hidden depth.
It crashed Auria and has issues in MTS too.
It seems like there's a bug when the host instructs it to reload state
Universal please? Would love it on the iPhone
This is an awesome update. I loathe when people keep throwing around the term game changer"' so I'll just say it's now a horse of a different color.
It's a very good horse, I'd forgotten how good it was. Being able to run multiple instances in AUM is a very wonderful thing.
And, a fine kettle of fish ta boot!
I just did a quickie test since I'm still in Ecuador and have to rush off to catch a bus. Had just 2 instances of the arp running. Mani AU effect on one, an the other arp preset had the frekvens AU running on it.
Impressive at just how quickly you can get something very interesting going on in a matter of seconds.
Damn awesome, lol. So, it's $15 for the iTunes card I need, not $25. Phew.
Dunno if they've updated the synth engine at all, but I got some really meaty sounds going earlier, and the arp has taken it to a whole new level.
Yep sound is awesome!!
How about all those randomizer buttons! Unlimited patches!
This looks neat but it locks up GB for me. I have to keep resetting. When I did get one instance loaded, there was no way to load or save presets. Seems half baked.
There appears to be a problem with the presets. When I first installed the update all presets were empty. The suggested solution was to delete Addictive Pro, re-install it, start it stand-alone first and then try it as AU. I have done that with success. It should be noted though that if I try to view the presets via AUM's interface I only get to see the ones in the "Leads" folder, whereas they have another droplist with all presets within the app, and they are all there.
Note of caution though, if you have made custom presets you might want to do a backup of them before trying the above un-install/re-install manoeuvre.
This kinda makes we want reslice now.
One of the best new apps on my pad, 100% recommended.
Please update App Store reviews
I pulled this out again after seeing the AU update. I'm getting way too much noise from most of the presets. It sounds like stuttering, but the app in AUM is the only thing running and I'm on an Air 2.
Well, it seems the wondrous Virsyn people JUST NOW reupdated the update.
Try it now, @oat_phipps
New update still crashes the AU substem in GB and Cubasis, immediately after opening a previously saved project @VirSyn
@realdavidai Does this happen to a newly created ( after update ) project ?
In a couple of days i should have incoming crash reports to have a deeper look. Hope you have sending crash logs enabled ?
Yes. I just tested again in GB it happens when there is more than one instance. I tested with a single instance and the GB project reloaded fine. Added a second instance, closed the project, reopened it and immediately got the crash.
I'm enabling the crash logs now and will do a few more tests
I'm having that same problem too on GarageBand. I am also getting the Addictive Pro AU plugin crash on Cubasis when reloading a project using more than two instances of the Addictive Pro AU plugin.
Yes I'm sure hope @VirSyn will get to the bottom of it because this synth is just fabulous...the best sounding one for me so far.
