I have a iTrack Pocket. The inputs show up in pretty much all apps as 1+2 (built in stereo mic), Input 1 ( 1/4 inch input), Input 2 (mono mic input). When 1/4 inch input is active, Input 1+2 uses the line signal combined with the mono mic signal.
Since this is the case, I would assume that your device needs to be configured for mono line output, not in iPad or app settings. Kind of like the apps see whatever outputs your audio device is offering for connection options, and the app can only choose from what is there.
