  • do you think they even feel that the sample editing side of FL studio is a priority?

  • Well, this looks like something. And they're obviously having to dig a little deeper on the IAA. Was wondering what to dust off this evening, this might just be the ticket...

It's on the to-do list. This update was delayed by a complete re-write. Maybe they'll move along a little quicker now.

ok thanks, as a diehard user since version 2.0 I just had to hold off buying this as to not go nuts..... can't wait to pounce once it's all there.

I never used version two. From what I understand the difference between two and three is enormous. You may want to hold off. It made no difference to me and I really like three.

  • I'd wait for the next version, which they say will restore IAA functionality. Mind you I'm still keeping version 2 on my iPad mini gen1.

  • Bringing IAA to the party will be great, but I'll admit I'm a long way from exhausting the sound possibilities of the onboard gear. That gear, and the present Audiobus implementation are keeping me busy

Areas for improvement, for me, definitely include onboard .wav editor (maybe to include under the hood access to DirectWave to build custom multi-sample instruments) and a layered file structure for user .wav.

  • the in-app keyboard really needs to be scale-configurable, too (ideally, with ability to create custom scales as Caustic does it).

    Yes.

  • Brought the original iPhone version years ago, got a free update with version 3 when it went universal so was able to use it on my iPad without upscaling. Image line yesterday updated the universal app however the original iPhone owners versions are not included in this universal update! So I'm stuck on 3.1.36. If I want to buy into the universal iPad version it will cost me £14.99! Sneaky lot ! Don't think our bother not my go to DAW .

Searched from the App Store on iPhone, and indeed that are two apps. The description for FLSM says it will be updated along with FL Studio Mobile, but that because of variance in Apple review times it could lag by up to 4 days. So you probably won't be stuck for long :)

  • Cheers for the info

  • Updated again, with Files support.

did they manage to add more new bugs than there are old ones?

  • Until they add auv3 host support it’s largely pointless

  • Jeez, the negativity about this app. Great update. Great company. Can’t wait to get stuck into the additions. Cheers Image Line!

    Are you finding it stable?
Always been curious about this app, but the warnings and negativity have kept me away.

as in „great - they banned users from their forum just because said users were right about bugs and inconsistent behaviour“?

I used it for a while and it’s great in its own box. They’ve had years to add auv3 support which is apparently on the cards but instead they persevere with iaa whilst saying how bad it is on their forum

Except that they never made IAA work well.

I dig FL Mobile, even when using IAA in the app- i use it to render beloved instruments (that are being left behind by more and more apps). MIDI drives IAA without issue, and rendering that piece to audio is a easy 2 step process.
I do think its a great company, although it sounds like people (at least one person) have been kicked off the forum. They continue to refine what to me is the most fluid DAW on the store, including adding and refining sample edition, files access etc etc. The list of updates, and available tutorial material on Youtube is impressive.

Help from anyone? Just imported samples into fl via files app but they are playing triple speed, Its because they are old 16bit files. I tested this by converting them to 24bit and they played back correctly. Is there a setting in Fl Studio that auto converts the files to the project settings and are there project settings.
Are there any good sampling in Fl videos The ones on youtube are really not to good. Is there a standard one from image line for the mobile version.
I have no idea what module to use for sample import.
    Thanks in advance

I've been using FL for almost 20 years, but I can not get into FLM. I've used it on iOS and android phones and tablets and it always seems kind of basic. I think I'd like it more on iOS if it had AU compatibility and an easier way to sequence drums with the piano roll.

@slicetwo i agree. Ive never really used FLM or Desktop version. I try to make beats with FLM but there are no sample drum pads to trigger samples If it gets FPC will try again but for now I can’t do much with it.
