I might be misunderstanding what you’re looking for but: you can load your own samples into each slot in the drum sequencer (samples you’ve edited in-app) and use the drum pads to trigger live or enter by hand into either a piano roll or drum seq grid
@Littlewoodg ok many thanks Will attempt. Do you have any video links. The FL guys really need to do more tutorials? Maybe they have but I can’t find much.
@Littlewoodg ok just managed to load a sample to drum sequencer without having to edit first as FLMS now has files.app. Is there anyway to expand the drum pads (hexagons) and slice to pads etc. Will test a bit more. Hope they change those hexagon pads to normal squares.
Seems theres no way to first select a chosen pad to load sample into. This is bit strange.
Maybe I'm taking crazy pills, but I've never been able to use the drum sequencer in the piano roll. It's always only been the step sequencer, which means no microtiming or fills. What am I missing?
This is the stuff about step sequencing drums I’ve found
@stormbeats No slice to pads yet...
@slicetwo Micro timing is accessible by tapping the magnet icon in the upper left, (turns off quantization) if you hold it it reveals various quantization values (1/6 - 1/2 step, 1/6 - 1/2 beat etc)
Individual kit elements have fill options, hold “kick” or whichever down, and fill options and other stuff appear.
@Littlewoodg thanks for taking the time to post the videos much appreciated.
ditto on the thanks.... I don't even need much more just give the slicing /editing capabilities that the impc has, or simply drop Edison in this badboy and I could live without the rest
So I see the magnet in the playlist but not the drum step sequencer, which is what I am looking for. The magnet in the playlist lets you microtime audio and patterns, but not the individual hits in the step sequencer. The fill stuff is fine in the step sequencer, but doesn't help with offsets or triplets. I'll have to peep those videos and see what's up.
EDIT: Well hot damn. You need to create a "Notes" track in the playlist first, then you get the magnet option in the new track. Interesting way to do it. Now all FLM needs is AU compatibility and I'm set.
There’s a lot of power and flexibility in there
Yeah. It seems so. I've literally had FLM since the day it was released, and I've been using FLS for almost 20 years. I'm still constantly surprised by how much I don't know in both. Haha.

A lot of the stuff in FL Mobile is kinda hidden or subtle.
FL 20 is immense, I feel as if I’ll never even half master it. You probably saw, new Maxx Claster synth coming with next (free) update
I agree. I should RTFM but I probably won't. I saw the new synth. Kind of neutral about it given my current arsenal, but we'll see.
Every time I get a new synth I ask myself do I need a new synth, and I ask that again the next time I get a new synth. All the while in the back of my mind I’m saying to myself: dude if you really knew your stuff you’d only need 3 max
Yeah, exactly This is what I’m experiencing. It seems my taps register at the wrong location on the screen.. like somewhat off the intended position. if that makes any sense. Never experienced anything like that before lol
