Per-track octave shifting param is already in my TODO.
Here is a pic of how it looks when you select a chord
Awesome, thanks!
Undo button in the pattern editor is already planned.
Not sure about 1/2, 1/1 rates. This would ruin the current concept of grid rendering where each start of a integral beat is highlighted with a lighter dot. But maybe this is not a big problem.. Will think about it. For now, If you want longer notes you can just use the second drawing tool for that.
In ChordFlow you select a chord using this 4-component picker:![](https://forum.audiob.us/uploads/editor/7s/ny19ls7cb38z.png)
It allows you to select 4 parts of a chord:
1. The root note of the chord (C, D, E, etc.).
2. The type of triad (major, minor, dim, aug, sus2, sus4, 5)
3. Chord extension for more complex chord types (6, 7, maj7, add9, 9, 11, 13)
4. Base note. It is not the same as the root note. You can have a C major chord with, say, G note in the bass.
In total, all combinations of triad types and extensions, not including different basses, gives you about 50 different chord types for each key (root note).
It is not me who invented this chord selection system. It is used in other music software. On iOS you can find similar selector in the GarageBand. I chose it because it is very compact in comparison with selectors where you have separate items for each possible chord type, and still it allows you to select almost any possible chord.
AB3 Support as well as the groove parameter is already planned.
I already added section switching through MIDI-in CC commands to my TODO.
What do you mean by manually switching sections?
You can already switch between section by tapping on them. If you tap on a section it will start after the current section is finished. If you tap on the section second time, it will start immediately(not really immediately, quantized to one whole beat ).
It is because three lowest rows in the grid correspond to the base notes of the chord. First row is the lowest root note or a custom Bass note you selected, second row is usually a fifth of a chord(e.g for a C major chord it is a G note ), and the third row is a root note one octave higher than a first row. These lowest three rows should be highlighted somehow, I will try to come up with something.
I am currently working on the user manual for ChordFlow. It will be available in a few days. I will make a post when its ready.
Excellent! Glad to hear the direction you are headed with the app. I meant disabling the auto movement to the next section so that it would continue playing the current section until I designate that it should move to another section (by tapping on it).
@ChordUp Thanks for your feedback/responses/support. Keep up the good work!
There is the play mode button just right to the play/stop button. Tap it and choose 'Repeat selected'. Then the currently selected section will be repeated forever until you switch to another one.

Here is the first version of the ChordFlow user manual: http://www.dmitryklochkov.com/chordflow/user-manual
@ChordUp completely missed that! Thanks for the tip; running off to feel sheepish now.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I would love to know if I'm also missing the ability to set how many times a section plays before it starts the next section. I realize you can just duplicate etc, but this function, while simple, is a godsend to simplicity. SPA does it best I think, would love you to steal this if it's not already there/hidden etc:

For now you can not specify the number of repeats. Will think about it.
Can't say fairer than that, thank you.
@jn2002dk and @ChordUp thank you for your explanation of the chords. now to rtm!
Nice App... is Zoom on the todo list?
@ChordUp As is of course the way I have been led back to playing with your eponymous ChordUp and it reminded me how much fun that is to work with, especially as Midi out into Cubasis is so easy....I know it's been awhile but do you consider this app to be 'done' or will it be tweaked any further?
For now I am very busy with ChordFlow but I definitely will be maintaining and updating my other apps too. Do you have any requests for ChordUp?
No. Do you see a need for this?
Yep, will like to get in a little closer to 'shape' sequences a little
more...
Thanks..
@ChordUp thanks for the great app, a lot of fun and getting some great results which would be hard to achieve in any other way. My requests would be for MIDI in (feed the chords into CF from another app). also some control over velocity would be great. I think the way the velocity is handled within StepPolyArp is really great. In CF this could add a lot of humanisation and expression to the sequences. SPA even allows you to assign this 'automation' to other MIDI CCs, which is very helpful when routing to an (internal or external) synth. Another thing would be a transpose control on the whole chord. Would be good to get your thoughts!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Hi, glad you liked the app.
I am currently working hard adding Audiobus 3 support. I believe it will be the only major feature in the next update.
After that I will start working on velocity automation. I also think it is very important feature and will push ChordFlow a level up.
Will think about CC automation.
MIDI in is also already in my TODO list but can not say for sure when I will start working on it. But I definitely will at some point.
Can you please explain what do you mean by "transpose control on the whole chord" ?
