32bit operating systems and apps can't handle more than 3GB (roughly) of memory so if you need more ram you'd need to switch to 64bit. There's no 'falling back' to 32 bit though.
@Nu2moro: He he, yes! 4GB ram would be great. But then i need more slots for Audiobus too
. I really hope they give me 2GB this time because running out of ram is the biggest limitation at the moment in my workflow. 2X cpu power of iPhone 5 they said.... very nice for powerful iOS synths 
)) 2x gpu... not so important for me but it's a nice plus too. But only 64 GB is a sad story.... my AlchemyMobile synth counts over 16GB content alone 
. About the fingerprint id.... not sure about it. 
(And i don't like a white front)! Garage Band should be the first 64bit Audio App.... or?!?
Fazit: Life is short. Don't know what's next year. So Apple, give me 2GB ram.... then take my money... the gold one says my Mrs..... nah.... spacy(?)grey fits better for a Galaxyexplorer
