KRFT discount ends in 3 days! (Last day Thursday 22nd)
Just a friendly heads up that our discount ends in 3 days. Currently at £10/$10 which is a third off the usual price £15/$15.
Thanks for all the support so far! Can't wait to make KRFT even more awesome from all your feedback

KRFT is totally worth it! Thanks for all your great development!
Prchsd!
OMG! Just got KRFT sending Midi out to Rock Drum Machine in AB3!!!
Wow! So awesome!

That sounds like a great idea for my guitar based stuff... Make a KRFT surface with controls for drum fills and transitions etc...hmmm how are you using it brother?
In other words just another major price increase coming up. The discount is just marketing BS. Meh. Planted firmly on fence here.
I'm actually fine with this. Early adopters get upgrades for free. While the price increases pay for further development. Much prefer this to IAP. Steve Duda did the same thing with the Xfer serum synth that started at 120$ and is now at 180$. KRFT is definitely a fun app to play with. And if they implement some of my requests it will work along modstep really well![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
The midi features are well worth 15$ imho. Alteast until we see what Bm3 can do....
Fuck, I was waiting for a sale![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
I'm sure this app is cool but (sadly?) I don't need it for performance.
I just don't like being lied to by salesmen in general. The discount is a lie because it has never been more expensive. A discount means something is being reduced in price from a higher price to a lower price. Imagine if your landlord or telephone company or anyone else would suddenly tell you your regular price was going to be raised significantly by calling the current price a major discount. It's plain BS and actually really turns me off.
Would you be Ok with it being called an introduction price then? Quite frankly I don't see anyone lying to you here, or conducting unfair business or anything.
Try renting in Dublin![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Funny , for 2 years I had 50% discount for my internet/telephony stuff . All I had to do is preorder the pack on a limited time period. Glad I did. (It was a new company in my area)
A sale is BS , only if the product never gets more expensive . When they lie on the regular price.
Harsh.
Those nasty salesmen. LOL.
I don’t know the pricing history of the app, but it’s a new version (new regular price) with a release discount. Am I missing something with how easy this is to understand?
Sorry, this isn't a sale or reduction but a message that the price will increase with a third from $9.99 to $15.00.
Of course it's nice to let people know that the price is going up. But please use the correct language. Reduction is a misleading term here.

What I mean is I thought it's price (based on it's history) was the full price of the app, and it's on my 'buy only on a good discount' list. Wouldnt be picking it up personally for more than £5. I'm sure it's great but it doesn't suit my use case.
Looks like a trend of new versions and rising prices. Diabolical.
Shouldn’t be misleading. The correct language is… a discount on what will be the new regular price. The obvious conclusion drawn from that is the price is going up, but thanks for helping out our slower members.![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
So the developers should increase the price for few hours before the update and then , on launch with the new midi out update , reduce the price until 3 days from now .
Too much hassle for nothing imo....
Yes, but with what we already know, you have to admit that there is no way KRFT is worth half the price of BM3 as it currently is...
Completely different apps .
That's the launch price for Bm3 though, we dont know its final price, but yeah. For 15$ I'd pick Bm3 over krft every day. That being said some of the stuff that Bm3 is testing in the latest beta ? I might actually stop using all other daws. I so need the final version of Bm3 to release already...
Valid point, one is a daw. Others a performance controller. Personally I'll be using both.
Good way to avoid the question I guess lol... But it seems to me that they are both mucic iOS apps, which already make them somewhat comparable IMO...
I'm just saying that because I hesitate to get KRFT... It seems fun... But I never paid 10€ for a controller app before and it seems to me that it should be a 5€ app... But that's just my own opinion
Peace
Very interesting... Could you please explain me what could KRFT bring in addition to the controllers already included in BM3 (pads, keys, ...) ? Maybe I'm really missing something about KRFT...
Don't know if it's really diabolical. Early adopters get the app for a nice price for their early financial support which I think is quite a good thing and better than when you buy an app and it's reduced in price a week later (as for example the devs from Fluxpad did). But I think that a price increase from $3.00 to $15.00 (5 times as much) within 5 months as something quite bizarre. That said the devs did a good job in implementing all kind of exciting features that could justify this price increase and the devs choose for. How this kind of pricing strategy works out in the long run is something only the devs know. As a consumer I would rather buy a cheaper app that has iap so it fits my needs. But that's just a personal opinion.
btw for people in the Eurozone the price increase is even higher. Could they have bought the for 2.99 euro now the have the pay 16,99. Psychological not a good pricepoint in my eyes.
+10000000000
I prefer this method too, with early adopters getting it for a lower price and as it advances in features the price goes up to reflect the apps complexity as it grows. It's definitely worth the money as it's now a much deeper app than the release version. The developers are worth supporting because they are really listening to the users and implementing the feature requests whenever possible.
I prefer not to have iap whenever possible, it's a messy system.
Although I see the benefit of this system for people like us, what are people's option on it for the wider iOS market?
Rewarding early adopters while edging towards a more professional price model?
or
Favouring an 'inner circle' while leaving the wider audience out in the cold and feeling like 'second class customers'?
My only comment is from my own person experience:
If it'd been released at £20 and dropped to £10, I'd have probably picked it up based on the positive hype (as I have with many apps previously). The way they handled it I just laughed at my own naivety at the possibility of a future sale, while silently understanding that I won't be buying this app anytime soon.
Exactly my position. Thanks but no thanks, I can live without it just fine.
Perfectly reasonable position. Don't need it, and while their marketing methods may have tempted you, their sales techniques fell short of the purchase.
The larger questions are whether this strategy will have a positive or negative effect on a wider audience in the long term, both for the individual app and for this market space in general.
