Okay, Rough Rider 2 v 2.0.309 and Grind v 1.0.104 are now available in the app store and should solve all these screen scaling issues. Let me know soonest if there are any drawing problems.

Next in the queue is Eos 2, which I have just submitted for TestFlight testing. It is identical to the desktop version, and should please iPad Pro owners looking for that super long synth reverb that only Eos can provide. Hopefully it will be out early next week. Dubstation 2 will follow immediately thereafter, then I'll be caught up with the rebuilds of the desktop versions of our plugins.

    Looking forward to both :)

How about Bigseq2? This would be awesome on iPad!

  • Some good apps....the bad side....you know....now i never could be bothered to pay 10 times more for your desktop apps.
I really wonder if that's all a good thing and the right sign for other developers.
    I know, i know.....i shouldn't talk about it.
Just please don't make a sale on top of it after a few days :D
My new rule...don't buy apps for 10X the price on other OS and don't buy apps for the 1/10 of the price from other OS if they are the same.
    What's left?
But really, good apps....but yeah. See above.

  • After some time with Grind: it's so much more than "distortion" - it's downright Musical and magical. So many potential combinations to reshape incoming audio. Pure dirty fun.

What combinations/apps have you enjoyed it/found it profitable with most so far?

  • Just run Troublemaker through it. You'll cry! :'( :D

Exclusively drums m'man: I'm on a bit of a mission with processing beats and Grind is so absolutely suited to thrill in this area.

The latest update to Grind got a GUI overhaul that makes it a joy to tweak!

I saw that. How have you found AD plugins to behave in Cubasis?

I'd say pretty good since I've not had any severe issues with them on my Air 2, iOS12.1.1.
Has to be said though that I seldom use multiple instances at the same but 'freeze' tracks and 'process audio' to save RAM & CPU and keep the Air 2 running cool...

Yeah, I'd have to do a lot of that as I am on a lowly mini 4. At one point, there were some serious issues with AD plugins in GarageBand, but I guess that was host weirdness? I'd rather use Cubasis anyway.

AD stuff rendering in GarageBand has been fixed since 6 months now, super reliable. It was a general AU GB issue.

Grind looks good on iPhone too with more space and bigger fonts, hope all their plugs will be updated the same way:

That's one of the reasons I keep Apps & iOS on my iPad up-to-date as it is very un-likely that Apple will push out AUv3 fixes to 'older' iOS versions. I do feel that the latest Cubasis update(2.7) works well with the latest iOS(12.1.1) update.

True. There was a GB undo/redo bug a while ago, it has been fixed with latest GB update which needs iOS12 I think. iOS12 latest version has reached good stability IMO.

Thanks, y'all. I appreciate the info. I'm an LPX user, but I'm not sure that there's a big advantage in using GB on iOS if I'm going to use third-party plugins. Just seems like stems from Cubasis would work better at that point.

Yeah, they do look quite good now...
Only 'thing' missing in Grind is the LFO 'wave form view' to see how 'Skew' affects it.
    They nailed that in Quanta!

Personally I'm 're-discovering' GarageBand on the iPhone after 'Santa' got me an iPhone 8 :)

The 'GarageBand' export to LPX works well but there is an 'issue' that annoys me to the max...

The 'pitch slides' (when using the iOS GB keyboard to do pitch-bends) do not convert properly when imported in to LPX. I do suspect that the 'pitch bend depth' is not properly set in the target patches when the iOS GB Session is imported into LPX.(Ie. the LPX presets are set to 2 semitones by default and have to be manually set to +/- 24 when importing a iOS GB session that uses pitch-slide).

  • What have you done with the update to Grind, Audio Damage?? I can no longer map any parameters to CC within AUM, which I rely on for my live set-up. HELP!!

Ouch!!! Same here in AUM and apeMatrix, that’s a huge issue for me too. @Chris_Randall

  • Mail sent, answer received: they will work on a fix for an update, should be quick! :)
