My bad I didn't know Gadget could be used as IAA from other apps. Sorry
Gadget can be used in BM3. The downside is Gadget only outputs the main mix, not individual tracks.
In Auria Pro you have to add it as an FX, not an instrument.
In Cubasis? I'm not sure you can. It doesn't show up as an option in instruments or FX. I use it through AudioBus into Cubasis.
I did the following (check the picture) in Cubasis which I guess is basically what was done in BM3 in the video. Then I have to create a midi track in cubasis and set gadget as output.

@tja thanks. So many ways to do it, but the best way would be Gadget as AU. Hopefully this will come soon.
I don't think that's even technically possible (currently). And I'm virtually positive Korg would have no interest in doing so even it it was.
Yes that sucks. Workaround would be to create audio track for each gadget in BM3 and set the source to the pad that is the gadget. Sorry for my bad english
They probably have to rewrite a lot in Gadget to make each instrument an AU. But I think more people would buy their app if they did.
On the other hand though, if you don't want to export audio tracks, the only main practical difference is that you need to do your mixing of Gadet tracks within Gadget rather than in BM3's mixer. Just think of it as a sub-mix.
Oh, you meant individual Gadgets, not Gadget itself. That's more practical, but don't hold your breath!
To be able to export tracks from gadget I have to sequence from gadget right? I prefer the timeline song mode in BM3 or a Cubasis.
To export, yes. But you can sequence Gadget from BM3 (or any other midi source), then record Gadget's output as audio into BM3. I'm supposed to be working, so can't lay out how to do that for your right now. Maybe others will chime in.

What I want to do is create midi tracks in BM3/Cubasis and send the midi to Gadget instruments. Since Gadget doesn't output individual tracks I have to export tracks (as audio) from Gadget. But in order to export from gadget I have to draw midi notes i Gadget (and not BM3 or Cubasis). So if I want to have each instrument as individual tracks I have to use Gadget as my sequencer (which I prefer not to). Hope you understand me now. Thank you for your help.
@tja You understand correctly. I think my english was the reason for some misunderstanding. Thanks!
I tried but didn't succeed it's very late so it's probably because I'm tired. I'll try again tomorrow.
Cubasis and IAA Generators
Some IAAs don't fully follow the IAA spec as they were designed specifically for AudioBus but since AB joined the IAA protocol they will work as IAA Generators. Unlike other IAA Host, Cubasis handles IAA Generators differently than IAA Instruments. For IAA Generators in Cubasis:
1) create an audio track
2) click on routing
3) click on mono input
4) change it to "inter-app"
5) choose your IAA Generator from this list (If your IAA Generator does not load, you'll need to start the IAA Generator app first then select from Cubasis)
6) create a new MIDI track
7) click on routing
8) point it to your instrument
9) also set the MIDI track instrument to no instrument
(Otherwise you will hear both the Cubasis piano and your IAA)
The video kind of has to be seen to be believed.

Here's my question: how do you play the individual gadget, once it's on the pad in BM3?
I get how you can play ONE Gadget; but what's the next step in this video once you've got several gadgets in BM3?
I don't understand what you don't understand. Select the pad, switch to KEYS or keyboard mode. Go crazy.
Yes. Keys or keyboard mode. Thank you.
Has anyone figured out how to use the Chord function with a Gadget instrument in BM3?
That's really weird. It works for other apps but not for Gadget. You can play chords by hand and sequence them, but the pad chords don't work. Best to post over on the Intua forums to report the bug.
That hack to assign pads to multiple Gadget outs is killer though!
