Beautiful!
Not really. Many may be similar. But honestly, the reason I made this thread is to peep apps that I didn't even know existed. I'm seeing a few.
Like WTF is 'sequencism' @tja because I can't find it in the US store.
I believe it is currently in beta testing.
My screenshot is too large of a file size. That's never happened before.
Ipad air 2...no biggie, I'd get flack for the candy crush jelly saga and the two crossword apps on the front page.
I got AUM, Audioshare, Auria, Animoog, Model 15, Patterning, mood, and iStrobosoft on the home page (among others as mentioned)
Those Pearl Octavers are awesome. I'm curious to know how you're using the iPad in your pedal chain. What are you using for an interface? Where in the chain is it? Is the additional latency difficult to deal with?
Best octaver I've ever used. Picked that up for £25 off a guy who'd found it in his loft after living in his house for 25 years!
I use an iCA4+ for signal routing. In the studio I'm using it like this:
Inputs:
1 - FX (clean, DI'd after x-citer)
2 - FX (full chain)
3 - Vox in
4 - Bass head DI line
Outputs:
1 - Main Stereo out 1
2 - Main Stereo out 2
3 - To bass head
4 - To AB switch
I have an AB switch which switches between sending my live instrument and the iCA4+ output 4 through the FX chain. This gives me a lot of versatility as to signal flow and lets me choose between routing a signal out and back in or just processing signals on the way in.
Live I simplify and just run my instrument through the FX chain then into the iCA4+ and out of channel 3 into the bass head.
Latency is ok, I run at 256 buffer. For studio work it requires a little attentive delay compensation as you're looping signals out and back in. Live it's easily quick enough as nothing is passing through more than once (bass head on line 3 just goes out to it's own cab or to FOH).
That's how I have mine
My OCD forced me to come up with system. Multiple levels of dilemma.
I wanted to Sort my apps by:
Function, but apps can have multiple roles.
Synths by type ( Sub, add, FM etc), but also by developers, Brambros, KORG, IceGear etc. together. Also by "strength", main production ones vs. nice niche.
I was also keen on having together apps involved in same project etc. which changes frequently.
You get the drift. The schemalogue in me made this hard to live with.
So I designed a database with all the defining parameters so I can query the way I want.
IAP, which to study better or learn, problems jara jara.
Where the apps are installed on the 3 devices I use if at all, if they are in danger of being terminated etc. I know, crazy!
I'm still populating the damn thing because I have seriously many music apps, way too many really. I could never use them all, but greediness or need for collecting is a strange phenomenon.
Of course there is AppStore link if I'm lazy to find the app.
Now I don't use this contraption very much (I kinda new that beforehand)but now I can keep my apps nicely organized without the constant inner nagging and sleep better because it's just there JUST IN CASE.
That happened to me too, I had to trim mine. Pro 10.5
I think I will simplify my folders strategy and keep only two - "LINK YES" and "LINK NO".
@Musikman4Christ I coud spread out all the music apps over like 5 or 6 screens (especially since aside from stock apps I have little else but straight music apps on my Air 2) but I like to see it all together, all my paints on the same palette so to speak.
Plus any app addict worth their salt likes to look at their home screen filled with synth, drum and DAW apps and go "Darf, lookie all dat!"
I can't help but thinking about audiobus servers needing upgrading again yet I couldn't help participating either.
I have reached the point where I typically load up from Audiobus or AUM, and run those two together to benefit ftom AB state saving. But my screensnaps are too large and its too late to crop them. But I'm like most here, I guess, with AAS and OCD. More interested in mastering live looping than multitracking these days.
iOS 11 kit
Essentials (at the moment) in the dock, flavor on top.
always a work in progress
I’m sure I’m not the only one with at least 4 pages deep inside my synth folder? Lol
Some of my current favorites
Love geek threads
Have tried to sort my FX into categories. As they go AU though it becomes irrelevant. You just open them from the host app instead.
I see at least 2 people with Stroke Machine still in rotation. I might have to load that up again.
@gusgranite @Strizbiz y'all basically have the entire app store catalogue. Lol
Yeah... not sure what happened there. It's like I woke up with a hangover...
yea, Im looking into my insurance to see if it covers Appstore rehab, lol
