Anyone grabbed musical toys? Asking for a friend
Hadn't bought any yet so loaded up late last night lol.
So far I got mellotron, acoustic drums, funk, electric organs, strings, brass riffs, Africa, Asia
, choirs, blues guitar... plus I bought some audio damage effects and ripplemaker
There goes a chunk of my audio interface fund, LOL
Just need the ravenscorft app to go on sale now
Building up my AU weapon arsenal!
Love musical toys. Much more in it than I expected.
How long does the sale last?
Picked up six today, including the piano and choir. I have some nice piano samples already, but the reviews here persuaded me. Man, they make nice stuff.
What about blues guitars?
Through Aug. 20.
Bought. And bought some packs. Please tell me it's easy to export stems to a DAW.
But already a very nice loop. Thanks to all who recommended.
Ok thanks!
Ready? "It's easy to export stems to a DAW."
Song ---> Export Multi ---> Etc. And then it gets a bit convoluted; copying (for me anyway) each to AS.
What is really amazing is that if you have an iPad with enough storage, you can buy Beathawk, iSymphonic Orchestra, and BS -16i with some free soundfonts. Throw in a few iaps and Cubasis, and you basically have a decent setup for doing orchestral/soundtrack music for less than $150.
Wish I could.
Unfortunately, export could be a lot more intuitive, but once you've done it a few times, it's not so bad.
It used to be done via iTunes file transfer, but this was abandoned after the Beathawk 2 update. ( Not that I like iTunes but I would use an iTunes substitute like iMazing or iFunbox, and the process was simple and straightforward. )
Instead, Beathawk 2 abandoned support for iTunes file transfer, but did introduce support for cloud services like iCloud and Dropbox. It involves multiple steps and makes critical use of a "two-finger" tap technique (very non-standard for iOS). Worse still, Beathawk does not directly support Dropbox, but supports it through iCloud as some sort of subordinate option that has to be "enabled" as a "location" under iCloud. Even worse, none of this is explained clearly in the manual.
Here are the steps as best as I can explain them. I just tested to make sure it works. If someone knows of an easier way, I'm all ears.
How To Export From Beathawk To Dropbox:
Export is a two step process. First export your project to disk. Then export from disk to your cloud service (iCloud, Dropbox, etc.) . Export to disk is done from the Song area. Export to cloud is done from the main Track/Pad/Pattern area.
Preliminary Step: First make sure Dropbox is installed on your iPad and enabled in Beathawk: (Browser->tap three little bars at top of Library bar->iCloud-Import File->Locations->More->Enable Dropbox with slider).
[1.] From the Song window, tap the EXPORT button. Choose your option. (Choices include: Export, Export Multi, Export MIDI, and Ableton Live Export.) This exports your project to disk.
[2.] Switch back to the main window.
[3.] Tap Browser
[4.] Go to the User Library -> Exports folder.
[5.] This is the important part: Tap with TWO FINGERS on your project folder and then choose "Zip Directory."
[6.] Two-finger tap on your Zip file and you (finally!) get the option: "iCloud - Export File."
[7.] Choose Locations->Dropbox.
[8.] Choose a Folder on your Dropbox, then choose Save to "Folder Name" (at the bottom of the screen).
Got all that? As I say, could be a lot more intuitive.
:-)
With BM3 I heard you can even sample your own symphonic sounds from BS16i and not run out of RAM especially if you're on an Air 1 like me. But I still don't know how to do that.
