    Hmmm. Maybe, there is a bit of rogue code in IOS, which under circumstances we can't actually see happen, turns off iPads. I know what you describe is how it started for me. This progressed to locking up - no touch screen control - and full shut down at random intervals. Once that had happened the power button alone had no effect.

    Gawd, I hope this isn't the start of all that. That'd be the final nail in the coffin for my iOS music making.

    Well, to ease your mind a little, most of the time the problem is no problem. It has never happened while I was using any music app. And AFAIK kind of waited until I was doing nothing, the time it locked up before my eyes.
