  • Love the new features, played it all afternoon. But it crashed repeatedly on me today (first generation 12.9 Pro). Much crashier than the last version.

Really? I've been using it for days, at least 6-7 hours today. Never crashed once. But previous version was less stable for me. Air 1, iOS 10.3.3. Go figure.

I added a resonator drone to the Frippertronics patch and I really work the expression controls hard (the secret to my status as Wrlds2ndBstGeoshredr). I generate a little static doing this. The engines can't stand the strain, Cap'n!

  • Same here rock solid on Air 1 latest.

  • Actually it wasn't crashing while I was playing it. It was crashing behind the scenes while hooked up to AUM or Cubasis and I was doing something else. So probably some sort of interapp interplay causing it.

Yes. I'm using it with Studiomux and desktop DAW.

To shred. :) To do lead solos. Not sure what you want to know....

The iPad is connected to the Mac with the standard Lighting-USB cable. I play notes on the touch screen and record the audio into the DAW. Not much MIDI involved. I can play notes with MIDI but you lose the multi-touch expression of the touch screen. Maybe if I had a Roli... Does that answer anything?

    It's an ugly motherfucker

The Wizdom design aesthetic is a strange beast.

It's like a 14-year old's imagination fused with the skills of amazing developers.

I actually like the change of pace.

    Amusingly, it's sort of the anti-Linnstrument design-wise.

I appreciate the visual feedback of the graphics.

Also, I can see how some people could find clunking through the menus a pain. But once you understand them, most things are only a tap or two away.

I had Samplewiz somewhere, but I had to remove it, as the animated wizard under the keyboard was giving me anxiety nightmares.

I think this one would benefit from a more professional looking UI too, and the menu-system is clunky. Saying that I can put up with it for the sheer playability of the thing. I would put this at the very top of the list of music apps I like to muck about with, despite the tiny-tots UI.

You can turn off that damned wizard under Settings. I really like the app, but don't care for the visuals or many of the presets.

I've had this crash a couple of times in Aum on an Air2 latest iOS.
I was using the delay with the frippertronics stuff .
Is anyone else experiencing crashes ?
It actually reset my iPad when it crashed..not sure if it's to do with Aum and memory or what?
