It Happened! Bebot L I V E S (Bebot only competition begins)
All is complete.....
Comments
Hell yeah! Saw this earlier. Still one of my all time favs. Probably the 2nd synth I bought for iOS after my $0.99 Animoog iPhone purchase.
Yeah, BeBot is still a lot of fun to mess around with
Yassssss!!!!
Same, but it was my first...the gateway. Ridiculous fun, that metal mouth hooligan!
That Theremin patch is magic. Put it through some AudioDamage stuff and call it a night.
Long may he reign
Keeping BeBots control window with the Synth Controls open takes it to another level
(Fade in out the Sub-Osc or mess with the filter while playing).
Time to see what this thing's all about. It better not be another Plectrum.
Indeed. There's a surprisingly versatile synth behind that adorable tux.
Haha....just, you know, approach with whimsy. And maybe catch a few episodes of the Jetsons to set the mood.
Great to see positive posts here! All the negative ones are getting tedious.
Love me some Bebot! Might have been one of my first iOS audio apps or definitely within the first half dozen.
Sure wish the dev of Hexaglyph would bring that back. I lost it in my last iPad upgrade. Hadn't backed up the app locally. Now it's not even in the store anymore. But it's awesome that Bebot will continue to live. I was just sure he wouldn't make the iOS11 cut, but there he is, sounding as chipper as ever!
Star Wars BB8
and there was much rejoicing!
I wonder if Bebot and Samplebot will get on well with each other?
And this ^ wasn't negative?
Sorry, couldn't resist.
True stuff. It's like I've always said, for years, if Bebot can't put a smile at least somewhere near you then you've succeeded at being terrible.
Hexaglyphics, yes....that and everything in this folder....I fear for most all of their futures.
EDIT: I forgot about BeepBoop. Definitely Bebot's psychotic, murderous brother. No tuxedo for that joker. That app will destroy you within seconds of turning a few knobs!
Yeah, maybe. You're right... best ignore that "shite" and focus on being positive and all the great news like Bebot's survival! .
iTunes is fair game though. It's therapeutic.
Dr ohm and noisemusick
&
It's the incessant negative pattern that gets tedious. Not really therapeutic.
Poly was updated in August so methinks it's ok.
Or run it thru an amp-sim or something similar, I can't put the damned thing down...
On most waves vertical axis controls the filter cutoff and timbre is resonance for some weird wahwah or 'Bebot Acid'
I had almost forgot how fun one can have with BeBot!
Rest In Peace, little buddies. One day we'll play together again on the other side.
I was thrilled with this too. I was hoping he'd update Caelestis too, but I contacted him and he confirmed it's toast with iOS11. Which is ok I suppose. Of the two I think I'd rather have Poly overall. And, they are kinda similar when you get down to it.
Hah! We're literally in the same boat. Currently running BBot through my trusty distorted lo-fi chain in Tonestack and it's miraculous. And I had forgotten how Bebot treated the filter on axis controls. Way too much fun. Also the mono patches are great for holding a low note and alternating a high melody. I think I am going to get some Bebot t-shirts made.
I'm surprised the dev hasn't done this. Or, a few other devs of the more iconic apps. I'd buy one, and I can think of several other devs apps I'd buy a t-shirt of too.
I floated this idea by Zolotov for SunVox but he didn't seem very interested. You could have a lot of graphic fun with this stuff and I bet most of us iOS app nerds would wear them in the same way some of us wear our favorite band concert t-shirts.
I actually thought that the recommendation for Bebot was an in-joke when I first found the forum, some sort of hazing.
But it is actually quite a versatile little bugger, though I never remember to include it in any projects.
And +1 for Poly.
Don't want to give too much away but you'll officially be a member of the club after you do something noteworthy with Bebot...
Anyone who has ever played guitar (or bass) through a wah-wah pedal ought to play the Funk Wah patch in Bebot and try not to giggle about the way Bebot makes the "wah face".
@johnnygoodyear will be pleased.
I haven't got this, but just watched a couple of vids and it looks like a fun, playable little thing.
