So does this now crash sufficiently rarely that it's worth me getting it back out of the cloud limbo? even allowing for my short attention span..
Good to hear! Will give it a spin later...
It crashed pretty rarely before to be honest and I use it in some pretty deep ways for long sessions. I'm not sure what people were doing to it to generate the level of distaste that started to echo around on here.
Not used it since the update but we all know it's going to be even better!
I had 1 crash after I hit save.
BUT IT SAVED IT!!
Honestly, I upgraded it and didn't restart the device so I take responsibility for the crash.
EVERYTHING SEEMED PERFECT.
I just deleted it and am reinstalling. I am actually going to put some time in and start adding some personal loop and sample catalogs. So, I am serious about taking it serious now.
Hey I may have missed something. But I find the issues I had prior did not occur for 2.5 straight hours of use.
I couldn't go 15-20 mins without a crash before.
IT'S GO TIME PEOPLE!!! LOL
I still have one issue: Using an AU fx on a channel will not let you use the onscreen keyboard while changing the AU apps settings. Then when going back, it stops the pads working as keys until you set them again. At least after the update, this no longer crashes the app!
Yes, I have reported it.
Best update ever!!
[ extremely patient composition teacher voice ] And WHY would you say it is the "best update ever!!" Use your words.
Well, I'll put in a plug for the way the slice markers are now handled. MUCH BETTER!
The clouds part, and the sun shines. And the people did rejoice.
really liking this app!
It's the closest any app has got to my ideal host so far. Yeah I would like some changes and additions, but it's damn close.
WOW! The slicer is so much more usable now, even on a super LONG wav file jumping around, placing and moving slice points is fantastic.
Comparing the recent AUM and BM3 updates, I’m able to load a seemingly infinite number of instances of RoughRider with no problem in AUM. I’m still having issues with BM3, but otherwise, the update looks nice.
Unless I've missed them, I would like the following:
Onscreen keyboard that can be set up similar to Navichord or Navichord to use the split screen mode with BM3 live at the same time.
I would like some form of built in arp similar to StepPolyArp or similar. Yes I have apps to do this, but I want them built in to the host app. I want to use them per instrument.
I would like to see FX Racks. I've used these before on the PC DAW I used. Basically you can set up and save little racks of FX apps that can then be recalled in any song or track.
I would like the built in keyboard to be manually linked to the current AU sound app when changing an AU FX onscreen. I've checked on the website and Samu has confirmed that it is not possible at this time.
This is linked to the above request. I would like the FX racks to be able to be placed on any track in the song timeline with fade ins and outs.
A few other ideas and changes, but as I said, it's close to my perfect setup as it is
Honest to goodness, this is how I feel about BM3:
Now if I can just get it a 10.5 iPad Pro to run it on, tho it runs great on my iPad Mini 2. Would be even better on an iPad Mini Pro...
I am having a little frightened-girl-toe-in-the-water feel about (Nurse) and wonder if there is a vid/tut anyone can suggest dealing with 'How to do simple things in the BM3 piano roll'?
Yeah looks super solid on this end!!
Guys don't forget to update AppStore review really helps the dev.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Works fine - just not in the AB3 midi section or as an IAA. Not gonna post again the instructions since you don't want to listen. The long midi names goes away if you don't try to use it as a AB3 Midi receiver.
About 95% of apps don't work as AB3 midi senders/receivers. Are you setting all of them aside as well? (Yes, I know it shows up as if it would work, and that's annoying, but still...)
Anyway ... not trying to talk you into it - just setting the record straight for other users. Actually, I'm kinda glad we're spared all the whining posts if you did get into testing it.
Loving this update. I woke up this morning and BM3 had cooked me eggs and bacon and vacuumed my apartment.
Not complaining ... being snarky. There's a difference.
Actually, I think technically the answer to that per AB3 design is "No". Some apps do show up with multiple midi channels, but if I remember correctly they're not really meant to be exposing midi channels - even though some do. I could totally have that wrong though.
Apps like MidiLFO's expose named outputs that, I think, are supposed to be the way MIDI outputs in BM3 are meant to work.
Clearly I'm using it wrong.
Clearly.
I just had a threesome with two young iPads.
Hmmm, that must be where the 3 comes from in BM3.
somewhat humorously it crashed on me the moment i started to drum instantly--but then it was fine-- i mighta been goin hard
do any of you accidentally bump the controls at the bottom the screen accidentally with your palm while drumming or playing? shit drives me nuts because it is something i can control that happens constantly.
