this. best. track. ever. (et least for me :-))

I have to say, many of the songs I wish I’d wrote aren’t at all my favourite songs – in fact, some of them I don’t even like.
If I had to pick one song I think it would be this...

Ha! I came to QMS in backwards fashion because someone told me that Tom Verlaine's guitar lines were somewhat rreminiscent of John Cippolina's work. They were right.
A decade ago I was teaching with an old hippie who was a Quicksilver freak. I turned him onto Marquee Moon, and he was rightly blown away.
Very good list. It continues to blow my mind that Denny was only 18 when she wrote Who Knows Where The Time Goes. It's not fair!
For the money then it would be Happy Birthday, but someone already bagged that, to avoid a lawsuit I'll take White Christmas instead.
For the Street Cred then Bohemian Rhapsody
For my own personal pleasure Guns Of Brixton (This was the hardest choice and it could have been so many)
Love her music. I know a few people who knew her, or met her, and every single one has told a story of her bumping into them in a pub or party and spilling drink over them. Seems to be a thing.
Did She Jump or Was She Pushed (or Was She Bumped or Jostled)?
This one here by a fellow Oxford musician and a transitory friend. Here with aussie drummer I used to be in a band with some 10 years ago.
