Jim to the rescue when Korg doesn't deliver
It's very close to the Electribe 2 in concept so let's just hope Korg plays doesn't pull a Roland on it...

Relax guys.. There’s a guy named “Synthsaurus” who’s got tons of tutorial videos on YouTube for the Korg Kross.. He’s mastered every parameter in it. Surprisingly Korg hasn’t grabbed him up.. They’re not that quick to act that way, it seems.

From the chat I had yesterday with Jim there's a plan to allow Groove Rider to be used as an AUv3 in other apps.
No word on sampling yet but it will support importing of user samples (mono for now).
The synthesis engine is based on Poison-202 engine so it's not only 'samples'
I have no ETA and I don't want to be too pushy, it will be out when it's out...

Well - there isn't actually any iOS Groovebox apps at the moment- so this will be the first one. A Groovebox by definition- as per Roland MC 303, 505, 808 etc as they are the original groove boxes and also perhaps allowing the electribes series by Korg- the Yamaha boxes and the EMU command stations -and a few others- is 1) it's all in a one face box- it's a box- the vast majority of operations is done on its face and is generally instantly accessible- the same knobs on the face are used for drums/ bass - whatever you are doing. 2) it has drum and synth sequencing 3) it is pattern based 4) it has knobs on the front to twiddle 5) it has automation for all its parameters. The ielectribe is closest- but it is only a drum machine.
There are Groovebox type apps- but none that are close to the key requirements. That is why this one looks so exiting. Banging out a tune with actual groove boxes is a joy. Having several synced together is even better.
I’ve learned that AU ‘may’ be Supported.......partially. I would suggest letting the developer know it is important to you if it is a priority.
