  • I enjoy all the predictions and speculation before a Live update, especially when it arrives and there is stuff that nobody guessed was on the way.

It's been great to watch this software grow and innovate over the years, many people dismissed it as a toy back in the day. I wouldn't be surprised if more iOS related tools are on the menu.

just when I was sure the Digitakt was my Christmas present, now I have to reconsider a Push 2. Woe is me.

The Digitakt looks like a great product and would play well with Ableton, especially when overbridge arrives. I have been dreaming of a push 2 myself, mainly for the very expressive pads. Something to consider is that push 1 sells for ridiculously low prices (€200ish) for what it can do and it's built like a tank! Ableton have said they will never drop support for the original Push although its been a long time since they have added new features for that device.

That's pretty amazing, the Push 1 for that cheap. But Push 2 is a huge leap forward, isn't it?

**If you're big on sampling and slicing and want to never look at a computer screen then the Push 2 is going to be a great investment. **

That's exactly what I'm hoping for. This is the video that made my jaw drop. (And I was hoping desperately that BM3 would do this, but so far, I haven't made it work easily.)

9:03 to 9:09 , he really likes music!

Ableton are very good at keeping secrets, version 10 could still be years away from being ready for all I know. After Live 8 was released with quite a few bugs, they completely halted all development of new features and focused the entire team to work only on stability. That took quite a while to fix so I doubt version 10 will appear unless it's completely stable from day one.

Afaik there are a lot of employees at Ableton and the testing for big upgrades is probably in-house.

  • Hope they make it touch screen friendly with multi touch features.
