Just a tip: those App Store reviews don't work very well as a feedback channel. They're actually just meant to inform fellow App buyers. Us devs don't get notified whenever someone posts something, so you have to wonder how often a product manager (or someone in the organization with decision-making power) trawls all the various regional App Stores to read new reviews. I'd guess mail/twitter/facebook messages work much more effectively. :)

And it looks like Cakewalk are already on it. That's awesome!

  • No further details yet, but thanks for the positive feedback. :)

While they are in ze code...Can you whisper something related to AU support? :)

I'd read on here somewhere (a while back) that there'd been an announcement that it wouldn't receive any further updates, so to hear it's being supported again is very good news for us fence sitters, as well as existing customers. A nice update, maybe a little sale and I reckon there'd be a nice big batch of new sales. It'd certainly go back on my list.

I got a couple dev's to dive in and scope the preset fix. No promises yet, just giving you an update.

Thanks for your help. Could you ask the developers to add multi-touch as well?

  • Also make it universal :p

  • Update: got it building and working in iOS 11. Just saw it myself.

Multi-touch... aware, but not yet sure how deep the work would be.

Next step to repro/debug the preset issues... will share more next week.

Wow. Totally heartened that you have expended capital at work to make something happen that does not have an obvious financial upside. Impressed.

Also, I'm a little dismayed that ill-tempered posters acting like babies seems to have worked!

    Good job, man.

It does have a financial upside - there are a whole bunch of potential purchasers that haven’t bought it because it hasn’t been updated in nearly 3 years, and it was reported to have been abandoned.

If it gets an update, then they might come off the fence.

    Chicken, egg, new sales.

I missed the "Ill tempered babies" part ( I know there was a thread that got closed, I didn't read it), but another way of looking at it could be that it shows the feelings of importance that some place on this synth and the disappointment that it wasn't working correctly? I don't have it but I know that there are people that love it.

To be clear @ExAsperis99 I'm not calling you out for your comment, it just made me think of that way of viewing it and I wanted a context to my reply so it wasn't a random statement. I understood your original meaning and don't have an argument with it.

    many thanks, and respect

  • Good news - I’ve also been on the fence on this one but a good update will secure my sale.

Hello there mate. :) I had no idea that devs weren’t notified of new reviews, but at least I was able to inform other app buyers. Although, that review will be updated once the update is out, lol. And, yeah, I figured out about a year and a half ago that they do monitor their Facebook PMs, hence where I got the cookie-cutter replies from.

Actually, we weren’t acting like babies, although ill-tempered is definitely accurate. We were simply tired of waiting for a simple bugfix update after over two and a half years of z3ta+ having that preset bug problem. It’s called having a passion for an awesome app that remained broken and a big-named music company who could care less (or at least that used to be the case up until a couple days ago).

That said, why DID it take us trashing Cakewalk’s latest app/platform and badmouthing the company itself to finally get their attention? That actually is a bit dismaying. However, I hope that @alexwestner will continue to frequent our forum and continue with all the good news. Without him, Cakewalk wouldn’t have finally woken up.

@alexwestner Yeah, multitouch, AB3, AUv3, etc, would all be nice, but just focus on cleaning the attic of the bugs. I AM happy that you all have it working on iOS11. :) I AM glad that you yourself cared enough to get the devs motivated. Cheers, and have a happy weekend.

  • Always dangerous to use sarcasm on the forums. No one was being a baby, not really. And as for Cakewalk's financial upside: It seems Zeta was long left for dead, and I'm sure all hands at the company are focusing on the new platform, so it hardly seems like an upside to fix bugs on an app that is several years old. Although, you know, if it gets fixed I might pick it up. So there's another $20.

The thing of it is that this is a really nice bit of thing if it's given a piece of polish etc.

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • I never bothered because I took it to be unusable as is.

  • It’s really deep and the analog sound is warm really warm especially when you hear it live on a huge church setting coming out from the mains!

I would suggest to get it and support development.

  • I'm buying it too, when it's fixed.

When it’s fixed. Buying it now to support future development seems sort of blindly hopeful.

  • You’re missing out bro ;)
    It’s that good!

  • Has anyone been able to add the desktop presets with ifunbox?

  • @alexwestner is redeeming himself in a positive way! I can dig it.

  • Will be testing a potential fix this week, but concerned about potential regressions. May need some volunteers for beta…
