  • Like asking an alcoholic if you should buy one bottle of booze or two.

  • Not showing on sale for me?

Should I buy a whyskey or a scotch?

Model 15 can drive you into a journey of analog-like sounds, it's so deep. You can tweek everything.

Animoog can do that but in the digital realm, it's like Model 15 from the year 3017.

    Buy both, skip lunch tomorrow.

  • I do not see a sale on right now. Both are still $30 each on US Itunes, and the bundle is still $49. I have been waiting for a sale to grab that bundle. I want both synths and Filtatron too.

Nope! Not on sale in USA

They are both amazing synths and also completely different.

Animoog gets better when you buy some expansions since the timbres included give you more variety in the sounds you can create.

Model 15 can easily push the limits of my older iPad mini 3, and I can imagine it's a much better experience on a 12.9 inch screen. It does sound superb but having some knowledge of modular synthesis is almost required if you want to go beyond tweaking presets.

I use Animoog a lot and love selecting timbres at random, then plotting a path, messing with the orbit speed and the X and Y distance and rate until I get something new. So many things you can do before you hit the filter, envelope and effects.

They are a bargain at full price and you can't really go wrong here!

  • Wish I had the money I spent on model 15. I do not like the UI at all.

Good thing you didn't get the hardware version, 4 voices works out around $40,000!

I understand why the Model 15 doesn't let you tweak more than one parameter at a time but would love if we could disable that feature...

  • Both or Animoog if only one. Model 15 is awesome, but finicky to do a lot with on a smaller screen.

  • my two favorite synths. Two of the very best sounding iOS synths

Oh I would totaly use the hardware version if I had it. But would then have to sell it for dental work.

  • Wish they would do a sale on the Animoog IAP, are these apps actually on sale at the moment?

I'm only missing the Minimoog Model D expansion, its heavy on presets and not that many timbres compared to some others. Also it's more expensive!

Anyone have this pack and can recommend it? I don't go to Animoog for vintage analogue sounds but would be nice to have the full collection.

Both, and all the expansion packs.
But I would certainly choose Model 15 if someone held a gun to my head

As with Model 15, the most expensive Animoog expansion pack is the best. Who’d a figured?

  • Both of course.

  • edited October 2017

Ok they actually showing on sale now, $10 each damn good price!

    EDIT* just bought both!

How much do the IAPs go for, IE are those sale price too?

I will have to get it now just to check for myself, Thank you very much!

Still hoping we get the ability to import audio as timbres someday, I'm know it was possible but far from an easy process..

Congratulations, that's great value for money! I don't think the IAPs ever go on sale, also don't have the Model 15 packs but the Animoog ones are well worth picking up.

  • Wow. For $20 bucks, absolutely buy both. Doesn't matter what kind of music you make.

  • Been waiting for a sale on Model 15, 9.99 in U.K. :-)

  • So what IAPs are worth to take from Animoog?

  • IAPs on sale too?

  • They are so different but both very good.
Model 15 can sound nearly like everything else and really nailed some vintage goodness.
Animoog is very unique and i used it so often in the past. The downside is that most sounds can get very samey with that Animoog sound.
I mostly use just 1 patch which is my favorite (a tweaked Wave Dance).
But for 10 dollar getting 2 Moog synths is a must!

  • And Animoog for iPhone seems to be $2.
Anyone know if it also supports 3D touch for aftertouch, and does it work well? Might be good to have it on the phone, too, then.

  • That's a very good sale - cheapest I've seen Model 15. I'd buy them all at this price if I didn't have them already. Bargain.

  • I know iPhone 5s is minimum requirement, but, my question is if that device is powerful enough to running the synth as standalone, even only playing with the included presets.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

Can't remember if I used my 5 for the Model 15, but I had no issues running the others.
