I refuse to give up, I'm still clinging on to the fast fading glimmer of hope :D

Good for you man! When your famous, I will do a guest vocal lol

I've still not given up hope for that either ;)

I should have bought some vocal gear instead of all that fishing tackle lol

Nah...the fresh air is good for your lungs, breathing, and therefore singing :D

    So was alcohol ;)

All I found alcohol good for is making me THINK I can sing :D

Yeah and now I’ve not exercised my vocal chords for so long, it may be needed! Lol

As well as a touch of the bathroom reverb :D

    As the title says:
Even though I have a hugh range of iOS apps from full DAW wannabes to (my more oft used) Gadget and BM3, my iOS use now boils down to that of a home organ user!

As iOS users we are pretty spoiled with creative and sound manipulation apps (although lacking in a top notch stand alone sound sampler IMHO), and Yes, I’ve done my stint of trying to convince myself I’m making creative tracks. Tracks that are only a decent singer and top notch mastering away from propelling myself to stardom! In reality though, I’m really making a few simple backing tracks and playing along to them with my own choice of programmed synth lead - yes, I’ve become the modern equivalent of a home organ player!

The above and admittedly a deep love of ‘app collecting’, is my reality. Am I saddened by this realisation? No, not really. My age was always against me becoming a star anyway. That and the fact that I’m so stuck in the past musically that most kids would probably laugh at my admittedly ‘numanesque’ sounds.

I wonder if I’m alone in this realisation?

Long live the iOS Home Organ - to unashamably steel a line from another “now go finger your” Organ “and have fun doing it!”

You can be a local star. Take your gear somewhere busking friendly in your town and play for passersby.

You can also submit your stuff to your local college/artsy radio station. Stuff like that.

Local stardom is where it's at :)

Agreed and it makes me so busy I forgot my usual suicide feelings. Someday they will kill me and eat me. My cats maybe too.

Give thanks mate... some people is so poor than just have money
At last making music is soul healing and success could come from a different life sphere.

One of my past flirtations with local stardom, as a ‘character’ running a marathon for charity, resulted in my immediate neighbours standing at the side of the road cheering and waving a banner. Strange, as the bastards cheated us and were usually abusive when our paths crossed. Such is the fickle nature of fame. ;)
