That's basically the only problem I have with Aum too. It's difficult to get an overhead of your project if you've got many channels or instruments. It be nice if you could group some channels into a "container". So for example, if I've got 4 instances of Zeeon I could put those into a group to free up screen real estate. Similar to how you can group channels in Ableton's timeline. Or offer an alternative view that minimizes everything, with say 6 channels on the top half and 6 channels on the bottom half of the screen.
I'm currently using Loopy with Animoog (it's a blast) and to get it into AUM you have to go through audiobus I think. Is there a way to save my MIDI controllers presets in AUM for those Audiobus channels? What's the best workaround I wonder?
I'm Using Korg Nanokontrol, so you get the idea of what I'm trying to do.
Can I set it up so Channel one in AUM will correspond to slider 1, "these CC's", etc? What's the best workaround I wonder?
Make a loopy Template in AUM, and load Loopy from there instead of using Audiobus's Project Save?
Save the Audiobus session. That should save/restore everything in Audiobus Loopy and AUM together when the Audiobus session is reloaded.
Is there currently a way to save one channelstrip for later use?I know you can “import“ Channels from other projects but that‘s not as convenient.Of course i could create a lot of projects (and name them like“Tape echo/reverb/ with a touch of eq“yada yada) just for import purpose
Why not setup one Master preset with some of your fave channelstrips + then simply import the one you need into the project at hand? 🤷♂️
Specific naming of each channel would make it easier to pick out of a bunch.. Could also put that Master preset in the Default folder so that it’s easy to find (just search for Default when importing)..
Of course, CPU could get a bit out of hand for that first multi-channel Master preset depending on the apps you decide to use.. If so, make a few Master presets..
Sure,i could do that. But that would involve a LOT of preperation and potential clutter.Better would be to just save a channelstrip when you noodle arround while playing and stumble over a neat combination…and the idea is 5 years old.Don‘t get me wrong,i’m not bashing the holy grail of music apps.AUM is by far my favorite and/or most useful app. That doesn‘t mean, there is no room for improvements though…
Lets get some more mixing templates, creation templates, fx chains, etc up on Patchstorage.
