You have to be more careful with the soap
Or.......

This is right between an up vote and a down vote. Can we have a third option added please ie: a neutral vote
Up vote, then down vote, then buy a goat.....you will soon become neutered!
Something to look forward to

I was thinking more of a few symbols with real meaning! A moon is icon. A wedgie icon. A wet Tshirt competition icon. That’s my vote
You’ve got my vote!
Cool! This is going to be a useful feature!! Thanks!!
Definite down vote for you then! Lol
Lol, I wouldn’t object to a wet tshirt contest. Will you be the master of ceremonies?
I’ve learnt in life to only make stupid suggestions and suggest subliminally that other enact them
Why you! Just for that you’re getting five down votes from me, lol
I tried to give you five down votes but it would only register -2 votes
I’ll try again later
@AudioGus Our Seinfeld memes have been rightfully downvoted. The system is working!
Honestly, I think it was a change for worse. Facebook acted wise enough to add a like button but not a dislike one - that way, people can praise the posts they care about but cannot bully or silence or intimidate people for opinions they can’t stand. More often than not, that’s what happens when downvoting is added to a public forum.
Oh I dunno, seeing many of my perfectly lovely posts ranked at -4 is making me giggle.
Maybe there is a limit to the downvotes we can give? Or maybe the Man has stopped us being dicks?
@Arpseechord
Lol!
The novelty will wear off at some point, probably. I just downvoted yours by the way.
Thanks dude
Yup the system works
Upvotes mean you get to sit at the mean girls' table in the caf. Downvotes mean you have to start cutting yourself.
Sounds like no one wins
Yeah think that’s a lose lose scenario
Now you understand.
Like. So the "4 new" stands out a bit with the new background color (which is the same as the background color for the [New] pill on normal threads):
It’s like that 80s film Wargames - the only way to win, is not to play!
Interesting! I didn’t anticipate that reaction...I added the voting stuff as a community management tool, so I could keep a handle on things more easily (as I don’t really have the time to engage with every post, especially since our little boy has arrived!). I can see why the detractors of the feature object though.
I’m going to try hiding the score for each post, as that’s not a necessary feature.
I don’t see the point. Discussions are broken when sorted by popularity — answers appear before questions.
Also, when I view a previously-viewed thread, I am no longer taken direct to the new posts. I’m dumped at the beginning of the first page.
