I've been having a blast by assigning sample-start, length, pitch and others parameters to the knobs on the nanoKEY and automating the IFX filter when needed. It's almost like having a Volca Sample
can you automate those other parameters you assigned to the knobs.... sample start, length etc..?

Random thought: Is the name "Vancouver" supposed to put one in mind of "Volca"? (I'd assume Volgograd was unappealing.)
All parameters can be automated. I think there was a thread here with screenshots of all parameters.
(For each 'oscillator' you can automate Start % , Length %, Loop Switch(On/Off), Loop %, Reverse(On/Off), Tune(Pitch +/- 24), Level, Attack, Release and Sustain On/Off).

It's 'old-school' so the speed changes with the pitch

It strikes me that there are no Russian names. I have the idea that Korg avoids it. Especially the music world is ditate by PC nonsense. And Russia is of course the enemy.

Under iOS11 Gadget has some 'issues' with laggy touch response on the piano-roll keys on the left side of the screen. It's the same 'thing' that plagues some other apps and I know Korg will fix it at some point.
And Files.app support is still missing but I have some hopes for the 3.5.1 update or so if the Korg dudes keep their eyes open. It will be / and is a 'game changer' for file-sharing between apps.
If you haven't already, mess around with assigning the knobs on the nanoKEY to some other parameters than the defaults when using Vancouver. It can get very close to a Volca Sample
All the Gadget names have names that ties into something specific music-wise for each of the cities. So if they made a KORG Volca KICK type Gadget, they'd most likely end up naming it Tokyo (I think the Volca sample was developed there).
In an interview with Kazuhito Inoue (chief programmer) from KORH he mentioned that for instance Helsinki has a colder
Ambient sound to it and it's because Helsinki lies in the north and has a colder climate or something along those lines. Helsinki is also know for its rich noise and ambience scene.
Kamata an 8-bit Gadget is named that way because Namco's office used to be in the city with the same name.
There's a nice musical story behind each Gadget. Love that!
Miami for instance is a bass gadget and I think this picture pretty much sums it up.
Btw, Volgograd is an awesome name! Hope they make a Gadget like that.

I mostly use London and Recife for drums. Gotta grab Tokyo for a bit.
Tokyo is excellent. One of my favorite drum synths on iOS! The automation makes it a really malleable rhythm element.

True that, still miss some of the features from iElectribe though.
The Tube Amp' from iElectribe would be nice to have at the 'master' in Gadget and selectable just like the new DeeMax thing that really brings Gadget to life.
Shortest comparison I can make is that Gadget sounds a bit 'dull, dead & sterile' without DeeMax

Really! iElectribe has those drum sounds? And DeeMax is that necessary? Is there no downside? I remember when MP3 first came out, and it sounded fine for everything, but I heard a recording of Paul Robeson singing "Old Man River," and I realized, oh, this doesn't work for this kind of music. Is there no downside to the DeeMax?
