The free Scythe is the one in the Haq Attaq video, aka the old Scythe. The new WT Scythe is still $14.99. I know, I got all excited too. Still grabbed the freebie though.
Awesome! Thanks
Not seeing the old one in the US app store.

I think it sounds pretty interesting on its own as well, but the Midi is great. Does the little Orphion have custom pad layouts like the big Orphion? Because that makes it super useful for me.
@stereohero posted Photophore synth for $0.99! That is a great deal.
But the dev hasn’t abandoned the iOS ship. He is developing synthQ and actually making music(buy his pack in Elastic Drums. BillJobs is the name)
I super highly recommend this app!!! I’m using it right now as AU in AUM and wow!! The presets get you in the Ball Park but tweak them and it really makes a huge difference! So impressed!
I just picked it up .. The interface design looked inviting, obviously a lot of love and effort put into it, and I certainly wasn’t let down. It doesn’t have that many presets but what it does do, it does well and definitely sounds analog. The note input pad is convenient and makes for a quick and efficient bass line.
It has a really good sounding filter that you can use for processing other apps.
Nice! I just tried that out on addictive., seemed to really soften things up and take the edge off.
Just discovered another synth from the same dev, SynthQ , on sale for 3 dollars ;; Very decent sound from
What little I’ve heard so far.
I spent a few minutes doing an A/B test of Unique iPad and iPhone version, listening through headphones on each,
Playing the same patch and D3 note ..it sounded decent on my 6s Plus, but the iPad version sounds by far fuller
and more colorful. Not sure if it’s due to differences in DSP in each device or the audio engine in Unique.
Haven’t tried the iPhone version on my iPad.
Oh. Interesting. I bought the iPhone version assuming it would have the same capability of the iPad version. Not upset or anything at that price. Can you do a test with the iPhone version on the iPad?
I just tested iPhone version on my iPad and noticed very little difference on most patches, listening with extremely transparant Sennheiser headphones. A few patches are quite a bit different than iPad version: “LFO Theme” in particular, seemed to have more edge and high frequency overtones w/ iphone vers. It did sound quite a bit better on my 2017 iPad Pro than it did on the iPhone., which think is just a matter of the newer gear having slightly better audio chips.
One thing stood out’; iphone version runs more sluggish than ipad vers. I think I’m going to dedicate my Air 2 to all the Sugar Bytes apps, as they work perfectly on it. They’re all excellent apps, Unique iphone is a steal for a buck;

Relative?
Not to my ears. I found unique rather hollow sounding. It does have interesting rhythmically automated morphing options though.
Not iOS-related but still a great deal:
Hybrid 3 from Air Music is just $1. I had like one dollar something of virtual cash in my account so I got it for free
