  • Website glitch my arse.

  • Haha.. they have really been trolling the music world lately.

  • Or conducting market research for nearly free?

Not a very thorough nor controlled or insightful way to do it. "Hey, would you guys like to get a [popular vintage product] at a ridiculously low price?". That's like researching something you already know the answer to.

  • I forwarded that link to a friend on a 15 year waiting list for a real Synthi. So far he has the keyboard but nothing else.

I’ll tell him it was a glitch later, when I’ve plucked up the courage....

Nope, but investors asking the question "do you really think there is demand for these old machines?".
Flick the switch, the internet lights up and they open their coffers.

Who knows?, it's all speculation until that VCS3 is sat here making horrendous, delicious noises for me.

  • Was waiting for the behringer model d but not interested anymore. So what I want is THE PERFECT midi controller for all the sick IOS music apps :D

Yes, would love a wonderful midi controller for iOS. Think manufacturers are just a tad careful with the ever changing iOS world.

I would love to see a keyboard with a touch screen bar all the length of the keybed for Animoog like touch keys but way larger. Then lots of sliders and knobs with control memories that can be updated for all iOS instruments. Would like it to have 8 individual parts that control one iOS app each plus two parts for drums on velocity and pressure pads. Full motorised knobs and faders!

It would cost a fortune lol

Months ago I found a modular midi controller thing.

    special-waves.com

Looks interesting but I’m not sure if it’s ready to buy.

Kinda reminds me in some ways of that keyboard workstation that was really just a computer inside (can’t remember the name). The case had areas that could have these different controller blocks put in.

After loosing most of the German retailers (and a lot of international ones) maybe they don't take their business serious anymore...

Who knows? At least we can say: Disrupting, disrupting, disrupting...

  • Fortunately my VCS3 obsessed friend was out at a band practice last night so didn't see the link I pasted on his Facebook page, so I quietly removed it this morning before the idiot caught it. Phew.

  • welp. that was fun while it lasted.

  • Some hope is left (not too much, indeed). They said: "from our product management repository".

  • Uli Behringer cracks me up; he's like the Dov Charney of music gear.
    I enjoy his antics.

  • Behringer:
    That crappy brand! :D
They’re awful and I laugh at them.
Their gear it’s the audio equivalent of junk food.

  • I know there is a lot of dislike for them (mainly reliability I believe) but isn’t deepmind a really decent piece of analog gear at a bargain price? I haven’t really heard anything bad about it and I had a lot of fun demoing one when they had a booth at a synth conf near me. I’d think they would do well with other boutique remakes. Just couldn’t imagine they had that much hardware in active development when it leaked.

Yep I’ve been eyeing DeepMind over at zzounds because the Juno 60 was my 2nd synthesizer and I miss it so much https://zzounds.com/item--BEHDEEPMIND12

The list of folk who deserve a VCS3?

Now they say (Mr. Uli Behringer):

"These leaked product feature lists are part of early concept stages. However we are confident that some of these will turn into actual products."

    And:

"What was leaked were the PFI's (Product Feature Information) and those you can conistently find on each of our MID's as well as product web pages. The PFI is the first building block of an upcoming MID and the fact that no renderings were leaked shows you that these concepts are at a very early stage. Much can change during this product development process."

We can now change the Thread name again, into:

Behringer MAYBE Re-introducing an EMS SYNTHI and More, Much More

Imho: Most of the product ideas won't come into live, because they will not reach ML2. Some of them will reach ML7 in eventually one year, others in two years, that means, we can buy them then.

  • Change it to “Behringer cry wolf again”.

  • Think I might just leave the thread to float naturally to the bottom.

  • @Jocphone said:

Problem is every time someone comments it floats up again...

  • After what they just pulled it needs to rise again, sending a shill to a forum so that The boss of Behringer can give him a free ARP 2600 clone for his kind words, I’m a big fan of Behringer, but that was just absolutely ridiculous !!

  • Im sure that they will release these, at least modt of them. Uli did not say that they wont release these and it would be silly to take these so far that they basically have product descriptions for them..
Also Uli is known to tease people like this.

So yes they will be release for sure

  • I know they are not generally available yet but I recollect seeing a sound comparison of the Moog clone with the real thing, did anyone open one up to see what was inside? I wouldn’t be surprised if they used more modern tech and such may be easier and much cheaper to produce.
