i shied away from kaspar because i read that it was crashy and glitchy overall. is that accurate?

Not exactly. Never had a single glitch never mind crash. Where did you get that from?Whether it’s for you is another matter

in the reviews in the app store

    Ah. Never read those...

  • I’m very very pleased with iMonoPoly. Having sold my real one last summer (which by the way was in better condition than Korg’s own one — the iPad one is covered in dust and dirt, mine was kept cleaned up nicely), and having produced a series of videos as a tour of it ( ) just in case I ever forget how to program it, I’m finding (just like with iMS-20 effectively replacing the real MS-20 (and MS-10, and SQ-10) I once had, this really does fill the same hole.

It would be interesting to see a top 10 Hardware synths of 2017 (one for bobeats perhaps), and one of the Desktop Software synths, just to see the gaps between the different platforms.
Having this each year would give us an indication of whether those gaps are growing or shrinking.

Best hardware synths is a difficult one, but certain to mention is Roland se-02 it's very cheap for what you get. So measured by price/sound it's by far the best synth of this year.

Mention should be made of FM Player. Loving the layout and sounds of that one,

Thanks! You are too kind. :)

@jakoB_haQ That's a fine list. Those are all great synths!

We're working hard now on a pure synth app...

Because, iOS certainly needs another subtractive synthesizer.

In the future all house walls will be made from modular systems - make music and heat your house at the same time ;)

    Uhh.

Unique dropped to 9,99 in a sale, as the other SugarByte Apps!

Unique for iPhone is a real bargain: 0,99

It is very, very comparable. Hard to avoid for this price!
