I’ve got an almost identical setup in Auria to the one pictured, but no matter what the arp pattern always gets shifted as much as 1/16th. I’m pretty sure it has to do with the way Auria is buffering midi, only changing the buffer size doesn’t have that much of an effect (setting it to 64 from the default 512 helps some, the shift is a little more than a 32nd note). I tired a similar setup in Xequence, stand-alone with no AUM or Audiobus or Auria in the mix, which turned out even worse, dropping the first two notes of the pattern entirely. This is on an iPad Pro 12.9 running the latest iOS 11.
Pretty frustrating, really. I love this app but I’m finding difficult to incorporate into my workflow with the midi record latency.
@MarkH - does this help?
Last - midi output in Quantum can be pointed to both AUM and SPA.
@Kühl You can record the SPA midi directly to a track. Just have to set up the ports right.
Ok, spent way too much time today on this lol but I think I have a workable solution for me. Turns out that if you use something in Audiobus, that starts with the Audiobus transport, to drive StepPolyArp, the recorded arp midi in Auria is ALMOST perfectly synced. Close enough for me, anyway.
What I did here was set up a simple climbing step in SPA, and suspended notes in FM, so I could visually check the recorded arp pattern in Auria. See the images below for the configurations I used.
Setting sync in SPA to Auria made things worse again so I left it set to FM. Also, it’s not necessary to have SPA loaded in audiobus, since the midi routing is handled within the apps themselves. The only two needed are FM and Auria for the transport/recording sync. I also disabled record on the audiobus track that gets created in Auria when you insert it in audiobus, I only wanted the midi.
Sorry, I guess I'm a bit lost about what we're trying to achieve![:| :|](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/neutral.png)
Hopefully, we will have more, quicker access to PROBABILITY.
Yeah - I understand and I know those screenshots may seem a bit cryptic. When I got Quantum, I got SPA soon after and was determined to be able to use both apps at once with Quantum being in the lead and SPA being triggered by Quantum (or not) and providing a harmonic counterpoint. I’m not going to tell you that you need both, but I have found this combination musically useful.

Does anyone care to share presets?
Oh Thisbe is a good idea!![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Like a soundfest for patterns. I would be in
Reviving this old thread with a question about SPA. I programmed this awesome arp on my Digitone that I wanted to recreate with SPA so that I could use it elsewhere (DN doesn't have MIDI Arp output). The thing with the DN is that one of the arp modes is called "TRUE" which means that it plays the arp in the order in which the notes were programmed in. Since SPA doesn't have something like that, is there a way to emulate that function?
Not with SPA, unfortunately. It doesn't have an as-played mode.
This thread may help: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/37422/arp-as-played-from-external-keyboard
Also, there's a certain app that people get pissed if you mention too often that has an arp module that can do it.![;) ;)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Have you checked out explicitly calling the notes by 1-7 ?
From the manual:
Not really sure what the meaning of this would be in Up-Down or Down-Up or Random mode, but the description does not purport to use the As-Played sequence - nor does that seem to be the case when one tries it out in the app.
Is this Drambo - I wonder..
PEOPLE! (Respectfully) mention any app you want! This is becoming like Sunvox and others, where folks don't even spell it correctly anymore (silly). Also that won't show up in a google search, so the developer may loose out.
This message is for anyone and any app!
Drambo has an arp.
Peace

It was just a joke. Yes of course it's Drambo, and I'm not actually at all hesitant to say it.![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Drambo's arp has an As-Played mode.
Cool..
But the joke is also true!
King
Indeed. That's why it's so fun to tweak the grumpy old farts who get pissed. I do it whenever I can.![:D :D](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)

I noticed that whenever I put a > step after a l< or >l or = step, it will repeat the same key instead of going to the next key like it's supposed to. Does anybody else have this problem?
