I am paying 89€ per year. Which is 7.5/month. The vst player is a bless with pitch and tempo shifting.
I don’t understand why ambient music should be more download demanding then any other kind of genre. No genre is made out of just kick, snare and bassline
$99/year for Noiiz is far easier to save up for than $199 for sure. A lot of my spending money gets either sucked up in the petrol tank, or in this case, a whoppin huge car repair bill. $19.99-$24.99/month in addition to my other monthly bills is not too difficult to save up for. $99/year may take longer, but also not too difficult to save up for. I know that Dave is paranoid about people getting the unlimited version and hoarding all of the samples, but $69.99 is cheap enough if you plan to hoard the samples while too expensive to stay on monthly. I’d prefer to stay on monthly.
Regardless, Sounds.com is fantastic, but I took a month’s break from it due to the fact Native Instruments is slow to fix the GUI on Documents’ browser on the iPhone.
When I pay a subscription for anything, I have a reasonable expectation for things to be fixed in a timely fashion. I don’t mean “right away”, but I also don’t mean “dragging the feet” either. After checking, it’s still not fixed in the iPhone browser.
True, which is why 1GB/month isn’t enough. You’re lucky you got into the 89€/year deal when you did mate.
“Sounds.com” is in beta mode right now so I guess them’s just growing pains. Sorry to hear that though.
Yeah, $200 per year is just too much
As someone said earlier as far as signing up and hoarding everything, who has the time and the storage space to do that? Only “Mom-basement-dwellers” as in say 3 people. Ain’t gonna happen en-masse.
There are lots of good quality samples available. I’m happy to buy what we need, but do not rent software and never will.
In other words, bronies.
@NoiizyDave , it seems that NI’s Soumds.com has thrown down the proverbial gauntlet , what with all those loopmaster sound packs for only $9.99 per month. . They don’t have a sampler or a player like the one you’re developing though. I think that at $99 per year you could get tons of subscribers as well as bragging rights for upping the entire ios ante up a notch. Whatcha got? Bring it, man!
@NoiizyDave : Your website sells a lifetime membership for $599. iOS apps are usually roughly 1/3 the price of their desktop counterparts. If you sold a lifetime membership on iOS for say $199.00 and then installed the sampler and especially the sample player , I could see thebios community Going whole hog and supporting you.. Maybe even $299.. All I know is , if it ever came to iOS like that it would be a game changer .
