    Don't start ?
Are you incapable of seeing a racist troll, has he even got a warning for posting that trash ?
Or am i to get a warning for pointing out that you are doing nothing about said racist comments ?

If you agree with those "Mistaken" racist comments, please say so, if not then ban or warn him, its that simple.

You have an example to set here and all you have done is stick up for racist hate, big big choice you made there Micheal !!!!

    @Samplemunch

Do not exagerate, @Love3quency did not said anything racist.. Maybe sonetimes he is trolling a little bit (or just too much figthing for his point of view - it depends on point of view), but definitely not racist..

  • edited January 2018

I did indeed warn @Love3quency for the Islam comment, and told him it was inappropriate, and he apologised. I believe 'racist' is an exaggeration, but I do agree that such comments have no place on this forum.

  • edited January 2018

    Racism is an exaggeration ?
And who did he apologise to, You ?
Maybe he should make a public apology to all Muslims, no ?

Lets make it clear once and for all if you support hate speak or not Michael, it would be good for your users to know ?
But maybe you prefer to compare my comments about a trolls comments, who is complained about all the time to said hatred, which you did above.

So my comments were just as bad as religious hate speak ?

    Edit*
    Seriously ?
I apologise for being misunderstood, you guys don't understand my hatred ?

It’s mid January and blip interactive had explained why he had not released his NS2 already.

I think he did the honourable thing..

I’d like to offer the following prediction for the app, maybe you can share yours?

    Release : March 2018
Price : £9:99 at launch, going up to £19:99 after
    IAP- unlimited tracks for £4:99

It will now be released as a universal app as the dev has bought himself more time and needs the revenue from both kind of devices.

Because of the delays and even the developers almost unparalleled skill at making apps that are powerful yet don’t use much cpu at all, it will hardly need bug fixed or updates ( only for iOS updates), and it will be iOS 11 only because of AUV3 etc...

Tracks made on the app will likely need minimal mastering because of the sheer quality of the compression and eq within it.

It will be the biggest app of 2018 and take iOS music to a far different height and get massive media attention

Anyone like to add or subtract from this?

I think you're overexaggerate the whole thing...

Beatmaker 3, Cubasis and Auria Pro (and perhaps FL Studio Mobile) - do we need another DAW for iOS?

I'm more than pleased with wonderful Beatmaker 3 and high quality Auria Pro (with full IAP from Fabfilter)...

And, I agree with @Samu that it certainly not will be a universal app already in march...

How do I exaggerate? Did you listen to the blip interactive SoundCloud demos?? That’s fully pro music right there. I’ve heard nothing that comes even close to that from the other daws you mention . If I’m wrong, send me a link...

The obsidian synth is a killer

And those that used ns1 know that the workflow of blip interactive apps is a joy

And... yes we need more daws, the market is over flooded with synths and fx apps but only a few daws

Off the top of my head as far as daw type apps, we have:

    NS1
    Cubasis
    FL Mobile
    Caustic
    GarageBand
    Gadget
    BM2
    BM3
    Music Studio
    Isequence hd

    Likely I missed something

But that’s just ten and it won’t be over 15

Yeah the demos are great but there is absolutely no reason you couldn't do similar tracks in any of the other DAWs we already have.

Check out this guys channel for some nice hip hop production featuring BM3. Maybe it's not your style of music but you can't say it isn't professional.

Yep, there’s no reason why those demos can’t be done similar in other daws, but..none have produced anything of that calibre yet

As far as the hip hop you linked, that vid? The sounds are very basic, there’s not much layers to the song...it’s very simple like you could make on imaschine or something. I’ve not heard the sampling potential that many gush over actually demonstrated properly yet

Hip hop music is very abc and doesn’t require much attention to detail and is far from a complex art form

Instead of waiting to hear someone else impress you with the sampling aspect of BM3 you should just spend some time on it yourself ;)

Layers per pad. Fx per layer. Ton of modulation per pad and per layer. Timestrech per layer. Pad link. Roll pad. X/y. Macros. List goes on.... Its all there on paper and not something you can really dispute ;)

Just needs warp markers and modulation of sample start point/loop window and job done. But even as it is, it's super powerful and possibilities are endless. Maybe the people using it in ways that would impress you are just using it on records and not on YouTube demos ;)

Re sweeping statement like 'hip hop is far from a complex art form'..wow....that's just asking for grief.. Some hip hop is simple (intentionally maybe...) some of its insanely well crafted. Same as every other genre. And same as ever other genre, its down to the person making it, not the daw ;)

Man, I would hire you as my BM3 teacher any day. You got it swinging

  • I fucking love music, but after this thread I need strong coffee & a spicy morning fag...

  • BM3 is super deep and requires a lot of ambitions and time to get there.
@Iostress seems to be already there :-)

I’m almost afraid to dive into it fully, I know I would be lost from my famfor a while

  • I think iOS music has developed a lot since NS2 has been under development, and most people use various combinations of apps to create a workflow they can tolerate. None of them are perfect, and NS2 will not be perfect for all people. For example, some people (like me) prefer linear sequencers over the loops/scenes style of composing. I have tried a majority of the DAWs (and synths) on iOS but I still compose 95% of my tracks in Nanostudio. For me the workflow of NS’s linear sequencer is still the best. Not everyone will agree that NS2 is something they need, but I really think that the app will be in the price range that everyone really should buy & try it. Once the learning curve is handled, I bet that most people will agree that NS2 is a very useful app.

Many iOS musicians got NS1 back when iOS couldn’t do MIDI and sharing sound between apps was crude at best. Those that care about the iOS music production scene will get the app if for no other reason than to support the dev, and show other devs that we will foster this niche economy and not abandon those who truly put in serious time and effort to create fine apps for us. I have so many apps that I have bought but never use (from Gadget to Auria Pro and tons of synths). To me that is not a waste of money but an investment in a platform that I am committed to. When I think about all the money I wasted with Cakewalk, (not to mention my hardware synths and sound effects) I really can’t understand how people can quibble with $20-30 for what looks like a wonderful app. I know this sounds crazy, but I don’t care if Blip wants to charge $200 or $300 - I’m getting that app no matter what. If the appstore allowed customers to pick their price for an app like on Bandcamp, I would certainly plop down $200, and that is as a person who had been out of work for years and struggling to get a business of my own started. I wonder who would be left on forums like this if apps were priced like desktop DAWs & VST/AU...

    PLEASE SUPPORT NANOSTUDIO2!!!!!

    Predictions:
NS2 works on iOS 10+ (but passibly on iOS 9)
iPad only on release - universal a short time afterwards.
    Release date: first quarter 2018.
Audio tracks: IAP late spring to early summer
People will be slow to get it initially due to app glut, but that like the original people will gravitate to it over time.
AUv3 will continue to be a standard that devs adopt which will add so much to the experience of composing in NS2.
People will continue to break down into flame wars because people act a certain way on the internet that they would never do in real life for fear of getting their asses kicked.
