Best songwriter working.
I loooooooooooove her.
Some amazing stuff on her last album, I was hoping that she would be mentioned here!
I can't find a working link but "In the world, but not of the world" from her last album "The Kid" gives me goosebumps every time. It starts at 14:50 in the video above if anyone is curious.
She uses a pretty full on modular setup and makes really great music with it. A rare thing indeed.
Great thread so far!
Courtney Barnett gets a lot of plays here, great production on her debut solo album.
Holly Herndon can be a bit too digital for me sometimes but she has done some great things also.
Laurel Halo is another artist I haven't checked in a while but I like her stuff a lot, really unique sounds.
Savages I only know their first album, it's a good one![:) :)](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I'm don't like everything Bjork puts out, her last one (Utopia) I find a bit too crazy in places. Vulnicura was probably my album of that year, it's a completely different experience on speakers can put out low frequencies!
Jane Weaver has been mentioned I see, I am a fan of her stuff also.
Joanna Newsom is not for everyone, the triple album she put out has so many amazing moments and it took me well over a year to put that one down.
Juana Molina is another favourite of mine, have no clue what she is saying and I like it that way!
After my coffee I will have many more suggestions and will edit this post.
