So I watched Ghostbusters last night and realized that when it first

i hope original movie, not that terrible remake :-) I like original (plus GB2) a LOT, but that remake was just... let's pretend it never happened

Maybe they'll redeem themselves with the new Ghostbusters coming out next summer - which they so happen to be filming in my hometown as we speak! The Ghostbusters car was spotted here a week or so ago!

The tv series of “What we do in the shadows” is unbelievably good.

Episodes are way too short but that’s not an issue now season one is finished. Hoping season two will happen!

I heartily concur!! anything with Matt Berry in is a must for me but this was just a terrific extension of the film premise.. all the leads are just friggin hilarious.. I can’t believe how many people here in uk that i thought would love it didn’t even notice it’s existence!! especially after Flight of the Concords popularity??
i think the episodes are short because it moves at such a ridiculous pace maybe???
also big thumbs up for Matt Berry in Year of the Rabbit & Roisin Connarty in Gameface...
there’s been a bit of a doldrums in the uk for comedy for the last year or so, America ladies have been filling in nicely with Broad City & Idiotsitter.. but i think we are back on it..
Does anyone remember This Is Jinsy ? :)

  • Cheers @RockySmalls
Can’t believe how little attention this got! I found it at episode 3 or something so was watching in 20 minute chunks. I watched it twice which rarely happens (breaking bad/mr robot/true detective s1 & this)

  • Animal kingdom

  • Not counting repeats, the shows with new episodes that i have been watching are FX - Snowfall, Comedy Central - South Side, HBO - Last Week Tonight w/ John Oliver...

  • I was watching the Cardinals play terrible baseball and then gave up on them and now I’ve been doing a marathon of LOTR extended versions while making hip hop beats inspired with what’s on the screen

  • Californication. It was a seven when I tried it a few years back. In the eights now.

We Cub fans are grateful for that. Try blown leads in the 9th inning 2 nights running. Sheesh.

Yeah I saw those, I’m sure my reaction was a tad bit different though :D. Cardinals have made me pull my hair out quite a few times this season too. The central division makes no sense this season. The Cubs on the road is one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen, the Cardinals can’t be consistent to save their lives, and the Brewers keep lingering around although I’m not sure what they’re doing either. I have no idea who will make to October lol

Kind of fun though. At least they’re worth talking about.
I’ve seen much leaner days than these so I’ll take “ a chance” going into September.

  • Mindhunter, S2 is out. Not watched yet. Am somewhat enjoying Barry which is distinctly odd, but bite-sized and worth it.

I’m going to watch season2 finale tonight. It’s a great series. Hope they keep going with it.

It's great - although I didn't think s2 was quite as good as one. Still enjoyed it a lot

I binged Mindhunter 2 the first day out. I believe that Damon Herriman has "All Time Best Portrayal of Charles Manson" category sewn up. "ATBP of Jesus" and "ATBP of Dracula" are still in contention.
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Barry. Its darkness really does creep up on you, and leave you feeling claustrophobic. In a good way.

I also hope it continues. I love how they use the "ADT man in Kansas" vignettes to undercut "the science of profiling"
    Hapless Rader caught himself.

I agree that season 1 was a hard act to follow but that hasn’t diminished 2 for me.
Love stories that present history in a wildly entertaining manner.
If you haven’t read “The Devil in the White City” by Erik Larson you might want to give that a look.

David Fincher has said he intends it to be a 5 season series - but depends on Netflix I guess. They have to catch the BTK killer! And I'd guess they'll probably touch on Ted Bundy - and Jeffrey Dahmer!

Watched the first episode of S2 tonight and in the intervening time (and television) between the end of the last series and now I had forgotten the truly cinematic quality of how the damn thing looks as much as anything else. Will try not to gorge but instead savor. Might be hard.

Binged Mindhunter S2 over the last few days. Agree, that I'd also forgot how classy the whole production is.

Withdrawls symptoms for season 3 already.

Wish I had chewed my meat more thoroughly before swallowing. :)
