iOS Games that distract us from making music

  • The Room (all 4 games). That’s a proper AAA iOS exclusive-ish game.

I still wait for the "console like" games since years but in general i find iOS devices terrible to play on.
I mean they even destroyed Super Mario.
I wonder where are all the new augmented reality games......is it forgotten already.
Sorry, but these casual games are a trap and very fast boring. But via IAP it´s a goldmine for some of those companies.
But i have yet to see one triple A game on iOS.

I bought a MFI controller two months a go a it’s amazing to play games. I can’t tell how many games support MFI but awesome games are there to play with controllers:
    Oddworld New ‘n’ Tasty
    Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath
    Grand Theft Auto
    Kotor
    Jade Empire
    Grid Autosport
    Forgotten Memories

  • Driving games.

  • PUBG mobile. And it eats battery like hell.

  • I got hooked on FIFA Soccer a few years back. Would you say FIFA or PES now?

  • All my disposable income is on reserve for Korg apps and IAPs. I'll make exceptions for anything released by @jimpavloff and @brambos and that's it for me!!!

I'm subscribed to a fitness app too but besides that no more spending on the App Store for me thank you very much!

I’m holding out for SSC’18 (release imminent), the dev is a total indie star.

Anything that references Sensible Soccer/Kick Off and adds complexity is good by me.

  • Currently being distracted by Downwell, Alto's Odyssey, and Death Road To Canada.

  • Lots of good games mentioned there. I’m in Darkest Dungeon, Civ VI and Prison Architect alongside lots of board gaming ports :)

  • This is the Audiobus forum ,I could care less about games isn’t there a forum for that?

No, unfortunately not, this is all we have.

Not really a game but the single biggest culprit - YouTube!! I do more YouTube than watch TV or Netflix.

For programmers like me, games do not distract or intrigue (we know how they are coded) as much as serious data-based apps do.

Simulation apps - Aerofly FS 2, Infinite Flight, F-Sim Shuttle, Quadcopter FX (you don't need a real drone!).

Nailed it for me brother -
The YouTube time-sink my son sucked me into.
And chasing good glide slopes in AFFS2 and IF totally burn too much time!

  • can't you play ping pong or something on a minilogue? o_O

The title is pretty explicit, you could always ignore this thread, unless ... da da daaaa ... you can't.

I'm going to throw Rush Rally 2 into the mix because it's great and the Dev is the Bram Bos of iOS gaming.

  • Ok sometimes I play this :p

I also have a MFI controller that I use with my iPad and Apple TV. Tons of fun. Here’s my favorites games that works with the controller:

    Transistor
    Leo’s fortune
    Ocean born
    Sky force
Super phantom cat (very super MARIO like)
    Inside

Ha, funny, I’d have to say my Bram Bos of iOS gaming would be Rocketcat (Death Road to Canada, Wayward Souls, Punch Quest, Mage Guantlet)

Yes, it’s called I Slept With Your Wife Last Night. I went ahead and slept with your husband too, in case you’re female.

(All in good fun...he/she was asking for it B) )

Edit: I meant the poster was asking to be ridiculed, that could’ve easily been construed as insult to injury! Oy!

  • Anyone try Dandara yet? One of the best looking metroidvania type games I've seen on iOS. Definitely on my to-buy list.

Same here actually, although my subscription is to Netflix, not a fitness app. I go to a gym for fitness and weight training.

That’s pretty much as I get to a videogame on iOS, and the occasional Minecraft buggery. Cbf with anything else really. :smirk:

FX Cough, splutter. I had no idea they allowed such things to occur in games! :D

    Civilization VI. Oh lord.....

Oooooh, is that different than Civilization Revolution? It is! Wait...$60?! Insanity...Guess I'll pass. :(

When it first went on sale it was 50%, and I've owned and loved Civ on many many systems. I've paid as much for music apps, so all's fair...

Teach me how to play. I’ve failed at tutorials youtube several times.

Not got any of those, on my radar now.

+1 for Crashlands, those guys are top blokes and their sense of humour is very much to my liking.

The indie team behind Templar Battleforce deserve a mention for their constant updates of a game that could well have been left alone.

  • Can you recommend any games that can be played with two iPads together?

Table tennis might work but it would be tricky to get spin on the ball with the glass surface.
