  • Is it able to transform the sound of a melodic instrument such as a guitar? Does it keep original sound pitch?

Yes. At the most extreme settings you may not hear much guitar left, but it is still based on the input signal.
As an effect, this thing adds different types of resonance to the input signal. It can kind of sound like reverb, ring modulation, or comb filtering depending on how you set it up. Not that it uses these exact techniques, but this is my attempt at describing the sound of this app.
I think it does the same thing to the live mic signal, to give boring desk thumps more life. It isn’t a percussion synth like Impaktor at all from what I can tell.
I am really liking this app already, and I haven’t even tried automating stuff yet.

Think of the whole app as an effect that resonates the sound you put through it, similarly to how the body of an acoustic guitar resonates and has 3 shapes for the resonator body. Then you can modify the pitch of the resonation, size of the body, tone etc and ofc the mix. The resonation can add a nice texture to synths when the mix is turned quite low and overall the effect is kept quite subtle. The effect is similar to the au fx app "resonator", but the shape of the body is quite different, so it naturally sounds different.

  • Thanks guys

  • Nice, Who knew Jordan Rudess was a decent finger-drummer?
