Thanks mgmg. Don't think it's out in the US, or Sweden, yet (whatever it is), still making it's way through the timezones I guess

    What's the seller/company name?

i don't see anything...facebook forwards me to iTunes i get only a"blank screen".I saw that Nanologue question came up in the steini forum.Curious to know if its just another (even smaller :-) ) synth instead of the long awaited automation for cubasis ;)

can somebody make a screenshot eventually?

  • Probably not out everywhere yet.

  • @Crabman It appears to be a monosynth that I highly suspect will be based off of Retrologue (can't confirm this). It is being listed as free right now. the GUI looks nice, but the synth looks very basic. I don't have a means to upload an image, but this is the blurb:

Nanologue boasts a wide scope of inspiring sounds and professional sound effects, sporting a straightforward multi-touch interface and a great-sounding monophonic synthesizer. Used stand-alone and in connection with your iOS host application via Inter-App Audio, Nanologue brings the power of VST 3 technology to the iOS platform.

"Nanologue brings the power of VST 3 technology to the iOS platform" / Steinberg

Lol...No Steinberg, it doesn't. (Anymore then all the other ported VST/AU plugs)..

  • iPad 2 iOS 7.04 works. Quite a nice monophonic synth, sounds great, and got some really gritty distortion and shaping on the filter unit.

iPad Air iOS 7.04 doesn't work.

Sweden, used my Swedish account. It should be out in the US in a few hrs (I'm guessing the release date is set to Friday 22th)

  • Yea it moves it's way around the world lol I've seen you on AppZapp, so I'm sure you know how game releases work. Every Wednesday is game release day/night and they release in New Zealand first thing in the morning and hit the US at 11pm Tuesday night.

  • Yea, I'm glued to toucharcade on Wednesdays lol

  • By the way, Steinberg, I know this is free and all (unless it's a Black Friday thing?), but Audiobus would be great, since IAA isn't quite there yet so to speak :)

haha...i know what you mean :)

    (regarding toucharcade wednesdays)

  • Right on! Haha me too it gets expensive and the past few weeks it's been crazy with a bunch of good releases.

Back on topic, one simple synth I've always wished would get Audiobus and/or at least a way to record and export is Retronyms app "Synth". I've always loved the way it sounded but there is now way to record or export it's simply a toy to play with

  • Funny sidenote:it seems that the missing automation in cubasis is intentional. They "forgot" the modwheel in Nanologue now.No modwheel=no need for some light automation in cubasis.Problem solved :)

    Anyway,it's definitely ok for free.

  • Does have IAA.

  • Fired it up, works fine as IAA source. Sounds great, has a lot of character and a good tone. You can't beat the price... Thanks Steinbergers!

  • Crashes on iPad Air according to reports.

  • Love the "THUMPER" preset!

  • Hello all,

For those using an ipad Air please download the 1.0.1 update for Nanologue this will enable the iPad Air support.

    Best regards,
    GN

Many thanks. This synth really sounds great, loads up in just a sec and ready to go on the Air.

I'd love to see a sync to bpm functionality for the LFOs, and maybe take that a step further and add modulation to the keys or a mod wheel. This synth can quickly make some really really great fat sounding Dubstep type of bases/leads, so a bit more extensive modulation options regarding the LFOs etc would be lovely to have in this one. It is free, but perhaps release a "pro" version or something with all that stuff added, I would definitely throw my money at that version. Anyway, just a few thoughts. Really great freebie, thanks again Steinberg!

  • Playing for a few minutes...not problem at all on iPad 4 iOS 7.0.4

First sigth...I like the interface, despite the circular sliders.

Thanks for do it for free.

  • How about Audiobus?

  • No AB as far as i can tell!

  • Tiz nice...good sounds

    AB?....am sure they could have.

setting out their future intensions?...buy into our eco system??

Maybe they want to be the number 1 IAA host app.??..garageband is free..logic could turn up next year...

  • I meant how about add it lol
