  • @wim i appreciate what you’re saying about GB being a free app but as you’ve also stated it is a way to attract people to their platform. With premium prices of their devices, across the range I’m sure they can afford a small and dedicated development team to keep it spanky. It is their most known consumer music application.

I don’t expect them to make it into Logic but will always hope it can maintain its good standard.

😂 the GB team has been phoning it in for a couple years now... Somebody suddenly put the breaks on. iOS music is looking more and more like it’s going to stay the niche of all niches. What a shame.

GarageBand is a free app. I dunno why people expect the development resources allocated to it to keep up with paid apps. That said, it does seem odd that Apple doesn’t even keep up with supporting their own protocols. :D

GarageBand’s purposes are a) to attract more people to buy iOS devices, and b) as a gateway drug for Reason. If it’s not accomplishing those purposes then there’s little motivation for Apple to allocate resources to furthering development. (I’ve no evidence of any of that ... just speculating.)

    Gateway drug for Reason?? 🤣

@iammane , I remember you from the old Reason Forums. For us, the road has led from Reason to iOS. 🙂

So what is this all about?

Beta-testers publicly sharing presets to show "they're in and you're out". Can it get more cringey?

  • By the time others can use those they'll be buried by 10 pages and 200 posts of false hope that there's an app store link.

Probably. But I don’t want them to take your post as a challenge.

    Tiresome behavior.

I'd say that at the phase things are progressing the preset won't even work when it's released...

Me neither. Suggests to me that things might be changing significantly enough that presets created now won’t work “in a few weeks” when it’s allegedly going to be released.

It’s just a little thing with big consequences, lol
Don’t worry. Drambo does everything right everybody else is doing wrong, it just takes some time to get the last details right.
That’s why it takes so long
But it’s brilliant and simple to use.
All this rethinking of things was actually really good and not just a waste of time. :)

Everytime you don’t have to read the manual you will think this was worth all the waiting.

Thanks for clarifying. This is the kind of post about Drambo I think “the rest of us” like seeing.

Other than a release post, of course.

@giku_beepstreet is there anybody testing brambo also in nanostudio 2 ? Most people here are using AUM, but it is always good to test plugin in as much hosts as possible to catch possible collisions in some host-speciffic implementations....

in case NS2 is not covered in your beta team, i can help ;-)

  • He’s stirring it up so we can get to 100 pages before the end of the year. He’s a well meaning fella. ;)

  • Fake news.

  • I do actually have a question: is it possible to preview samples from within the app before loading them?

Of course, you can preview them in 2 modes: play dry sample or try it in the sampler.
