I get this too, from Mrs Zen.
I maintain that the finest exponent of English is generally thought to be Shakespeare. A man from the Midlands, who knew there was no R in bath.
Pretty cool - although the fugue section is a bit glossed over.....
Befuddled no more. Just takes a little education.
Anyways in the OP's video, this isn't how you pronounce it in french.
These differences can be disastrous. Inches and centimeters and their misappropriation spelled disaster for a Mars rover. We tried to switch to metric in the US. I remember looking at my foot and thinking that seemed about right, but the parking meter was too long and the vu meter too erratic. Just us lovable, dumb Americans sittin' around eatin' stuff.
I think it’s pronounced ‘a-b-a-n-d-o-n-e-d’.
