It would be nice if there were an option to loop the audio preview in the import window

Thanks for this update @baldajan

Sorry I missed this message - yes to looping audio. It's a feature we forgot to add in. I don't think it'll be in 4.1.1, but I'll add it our list :)

  • How does Medley differ from Gadget in the sequencer? (So disregarding Gadget’s synths).

It’s linear left to right. But you can easily loop sections and move them around

Not necessarily, you can have it play like that, or you can have it play in loop mode whereby you can activate each cell individually or any column all at once. A bit like in GarageBand

  • @baldajan is there to make each grid more than 1 bar long?

Yes. You can change the bar count by going up to settings in the top right corner and changing it there.

In the import window, you can choose Browse Files which will open the iOS file browser. There’s no need to create a specific Medly folder.

  • @baldajan I am really digging your app!!can you record audio directly into this app?
Are there any plans to make this audiobus compatible? I’d love to be able to record audio
from other apps chained together in audiobus, directly into this app.

Yes you can. Just create a new audio track, enter a section, and go to the Record tab.

  • @jayrhynas one more quick question. if i have a sample that is only 1/2 a bar long, is it possible to place it on the second half of the bar( the right hand side of a bar). Or does it always have to sit at the beginning of the bar?

Double tap the section on the board to enter it, then you can move and trim the samples as needed.

  • just found it, thanks man

can I place another sample in that empty half bar, or duplicate the same 1/2 bar sample and place it there?

You can only place one clip in each section, although we do plan to allow multiple clips per section soon. For now, you'll have to create multiple audio tracks to hold the "overlapping" clips.

If you have any further questions you can email us directly at [email protected] - just so we don't clutter up this thread.
