Total nitpick of something I wanted to work one way, even though I'm not sure I'd ever use it this way: I initially expected to be able to slide my finger across the steps and set the gates in one motion rather than having to set each step individually. In reality, I'm sure I'd only ever use it as it's designed and implemented. But....

This sure brings an extra dimension of control to Egoist.

    Good tip Mister, ta.

  • Loving @brambos latest work..allowed me to get a little lost and exploratory on this track:

A mix of Perforator and Kosmonaut on a few tracks of Layr and Beatmaker3 sounds

  • Once again @brambos you have excelled yourself mate. Bravo!...... Insta buy...... ;)

  • One of the best things about a new Brambos app being released is how happy and elevated the mood gets around here.

I feel it is indeed a special thing. B)

  • Like some others around here, I generally dislike the whole trancey, ravey, gatey nonsense, but purchased this because I know it will be capable of much more. Also, I’ve never met a Bram Bos app I didn’t like...and didn’t also use regularly.

Extra kudos for posting with Doug’s link, which I think should become the new standard here.

Doesn't Rozeta Rhythm have the same sequencer as Ruismaker?

    Add me on.

  • Okay. So I didn’t realize before purchasing this, that one can select anywhere from 2 to 32 steps per preset. I thought I didn’t like the trance gate effect, but after playing some wonderful pads from the newly acquired Volt through Perforator, turns out that I can really get behind trace gates in, say, 5/4 or 9/8. Super duper fun being had here.

A sign of @brambos love: I bought this and then said," what does this do?"

It does something? I was just throwing money at @brambos!

  • and it's done :)

  • another great app, so useful :)

  • Of course this is great for stereo guitar effects

Got a good dose of Hans Inception right here...

  • Absolutely brilliant @brambos, I bought it much like everyone else, didn’t know too much about it, but your brand’s reputation is beyond reproach so it was a no brainer. @thesoundtestroom Doug’s demo is great & I’m glad you linked his AppStore referral link...very cool way for us to show some appreciation for his demos.

Perforator is so badass, I really love tremolo and with some tweaking I was able to get some old school tube amp style pulses going. I’ve been messing with BIAS 2 a lot and putting Perforator on some overdriven guitar yielded some cool R.E.M. “What’s The Frequency Kenneth?” style electric guitar staccato.

At $4 everyone in the community should pick this up even if they’re not into gates or tremolo effects. Bram Bos has made some classics already and is creating great stuff with each new project...our support will help keep him in the workshop to create more magic.

  • Just the sort of app I have been hoping for. Simple to operate- but highly effective.

  • Sounded incredible using it with some evolving drones I created with Droneo via AUM ...

    Another Bram Bos homerun!

Yes indeed - but i was using an AU only setup. The Ruismaker sequencer is not included in the AU, only the audio generating part. As AU you can sequence it with any midi generator and to stay in the AU realm i choose something from the Rosetta suite.

    .

@echoopera Nice relaxing ambient piece and visuals. For me it transports the emotion of waiting on something to happen, there are some uncertain dangers lurking

FAC is great, and his apps are fast becoming essentials for many IOS music makers. But it is disappointing to find that one does not work with this or that third party app. Whereas, with Brambos apps, this doesn’t seem to happen. Perhaps the technicalities are different?

I feel very embarrassed to post things related to Fac Envolver in the post of @brambos :s so sorry man.

The "technical issues" you mentioned are related to some aspect of the Apple SDK not implemented by some host. I've written that some many time :) this is clearly described on the website and on the original post.

Fac Envolver requires iOS 11 to send MIDI output and do nothing on the audio on its own (except gain) and in Perforator I see MIDI output as yes a bonus (Supported by host? great. No supported? never mind, let's stick to the audio) because yes the core of the fx is to modify the audio. @brambos please correct me if I'm wrong.

I haven't had a chance to test it by myself but from what I've seen on the teaser -> very good App Congrats!

Actually, it's not Trance or just EDM music that uses trancegate FX. That style of music just brought to the forefront. Trancegate FX is in a lot genres of music. A. Lot of it was done in Chillout music for example. :)

Yep!. Mr @brambos is "Da Man"........ ;)

  • This app is pretty great on vocals definely worth having in your music arsenal.

Thanks Fred, and that's pretty much it: Perforator is primarily an audio effect which will always work in any AU host (provided they have their tempo/transport data ducks in a row), but as a "CC sequencer" it will only work in the same apps as Envolver and with the same limitations.

So until more hosts support it, the P.Locking will be mostly a nice-to-have Bonus for people who use AUM, BM3 or Sequencism :)

Thanks all, I really, really appreciate the kind words. A good way to start this sunny weekend :)

Sunny?? It's clouds all around here in Amsterdam :)

Amsterdam has weather? I spent most of my time there indoors, this is a revelation to me.

Wonderful country, super friendly people in the main despite the steady stream of witless tourists looking to get themselves a shortcut to some consciousness expansion ... aye, was me too.

  • This AU is so good @brambos could retire from the game...I hope he doesn’t though.
