Will sort it out ASAP.
Thank you @Jafri.
Just a heads up folks on SoundFont Pro. Update shortly on the way. Should be available if everything goes smoothly in a couple of days or so. Some issues along with this particular issue have been fixed as well. In addition velocity sensitivity from the app's keyboard as well the CCK external keyboard also available in the update. Plus there is some recalibration of the volume knob to better handle fonts with the normal amplitudes as well those super quiet ones.
And last but not the least, the icon and splash screen have been respectfully handed back to 1997! This has been done based not only on the heart felt pain of Kloon, mmp, klangsulfat, and ChrisG but my kids revolted as well. LOL. Hopefully this time around, you will find the graphics are more current and don't reflect my age!:)
@Jafri Thanks. Sounds good. I liked the splash screen. Lol. Maybe that reflects my age.
@Jafri Thanks for all of your hard work!!! :-)
God bless the kids
Big Update for Soundfont Pro submitted for review.
SoundFont Pro version 1.2 has been submitted to App Store for review and should be available anytime now.
What's new in this release:
• Velocity Sensitivity added to the in-App keyboard. Velocity values 1 through 127 correspond to the top through bottom of each key, respectively.
• Velocity Sensitivity through external CCK-connected keyboards or other MIDI apps is also now supported.
• Some MIDI related bugs with external CCK-connected keyboards were removed.
• Loading speed of sound fonts and presets is now much faster.
• Large sound fonts are supported in a stable way. On iPad2, it is safe to load a sound font of 200MB. On later model iPads, you can load sound fonts of up to 500MB. These are conservative numbers depending on how many other apps are running. You can try even 5-10% larger sound fonts if the overall load is low. There is no harm in trying 20% larger as well:)
• Recalibration of Volume Knob to better handle sound fonts and presets with built-in significantly high amplitudes.
• Touching and holding the Volume Knob for more than a second will make it very fine-grained. This will allow you to increment/decrement volume in very small steps easily to suit certain high-volume sound fonts, avoiding distortion.
• MIDI Panic button added.
• Overall stability improvement
• App Settings can be reset to defaults from the iOS Settings app. If you are having startup problems or otherwise just want to clear the settings, go to Settings, select SoundFont Pro and switch the Reset Settings to On. On next startup, the settings will be reset.
• Other small bug fixes.
Stay tuned for great new features/enhancements in the very near future! Your feedback and criticism are always welcome. Don't hesitate to drop a line.

Hi Jafri, I like your app a lot and use it every day... And I have two slight change requests to propose you :
Could it be possible to give the possibility to delete soundfont which are not supported by SFP (currently, when selecting these soundfonts, there is an error message and it is automatically deselected making it impossible to delete, and you have to connect to a computer to delete... This is really an issue on my side as I download many sf2 file directly from the net to try them and sometimes - even often - they are not supported by SFP and then they stay in my list making it a list full of 'not usable' fonts) ?
Would it be possible for you to change the icon of your app... The current icon looks really old and cheap compared to the other apps icons... This will make your app look more modern and particularly on the App Store where the icon is the first contact with an app ?
Sincerly yours man.
The SoundFont demo above looked pretty good (not a synth player - this whole SoundFont concept is new to me, despite it apparently being around for decades on computer).
But Bismark bs-16i is interesting for a number of reasons - smaller initial file size, good reviews above for responsiveness, 2 dollars less ($7.99 U.S.); universal app (huge because I do a lot on iPhone), and apparent support for Virtual MIDI, AB, and IAA. I probably like the interface of SoundFont Pro slightly better, but am leaning towards Bismark for reasons stated above.
Any other SF/Bismark users who could help?
SF has the sound multi layering feature, also the multi zonal feature, and each zone can have its own midi channel, volume, pan, and mute.
I find bismark to be much better as far as sounding natural, in particular strings, horns, piano's and so on. I had both but got rid of soundfont because I never chose to use it anymore over Bismark.
I would ad that the developer of Soundfont is very attentive to helping out with problems. I just prefer the other however.

Thanks, Morris. So are you recommending SF over Bismark then? How about responsiveness of the keys? Not sure I understand what you mean by "multi-layering" - I have VirtualMIDI apps that play chords, so multiple notes is important to me. I do not use physical MIDI controllers.
(EDIT - http://www.musicappblog.com/soundfont-pro-review/ - This review explains the multi-timbral thing for me, cool!)
I have ThumbJam and find it to be one of my more useful apps, so this SoundFont concept appeals to me.
Thanks!
Multi layer allows you to layer sounds. For instance combining a piano with strings. It also has octave shift for the multi layer zone sounds. As far as what StormJH1 said about the sound difference, the sound depends on what soundfonts you use. I have the bs-16 soundfonts loaded in SF Pro. I do prefer SF Pro. Also keys are responsive and velocity sensitive. Let me add that I like the basically one page setup.
Edit: I meant Tritonman2.
Thanks, bud! You answered my question. Looks like both might be good options, but there's a bit more to like about SF Pro. I'll do some research on what types of free sound fonts are out there and think about if I'm okay with iPad only.
Bs-16i also does layering with separate EQ, volume and pan and is velocity sensitive. I have both apps, for slightly different uses.
I guess one other thing holding me back on SF Pro is that it's a 200+ MB file size right out of the box, whereas Bismark is about 43MB. I understand that some of that is the soundfont library (and that SF Pro's may be better), but I try to avoid music apps with gigantic file sizes if I can avoid it. Of course, if I add a bunch of additional sounds, the large file may be an inevitability.
*duplicare
I definately did not find that soundfont sounded better but just the opposite. Soundfont has some nice sounds but I found Bismark much better and not just a little better mind you.
I don't have either SFP or BS-16i but I should state Music Studio is iPhone compatible, has many instruments which you can add more (don't think soundfonts though), and has multi layer zone sounds for a great price.
@Tritonman2 - It's probably the better one for me to try first, for reasons stated above. That doesn't mean I won't eventually own SF Pro if Bismark doesn't work out. Opinions on the sound banks are subjective, but I saw a YouTube demo of it that verified it has everything I want it to do with it.
Re: Music Studio, that's a great looking App, but it's a larger file than GarageBand and looks basically like its own DAW. It's funny that storage space is almost the more important currency than MONEY to me, but that's what it seems like at times. Haha. 700MB is room that could be used for 10 to 30 other music apps!

Maybe you can help: how did you load the bs-16i soundfonts into soundfont pro?
is there an app that allows us to edit soundfonts or create them? Would be nice to reduce size of some with sounds that are not that great.
Also, any possibilities of this app someday becoming an "Arranger" type app? Sort of like those arranger keyboards that have like a one man band type thing going to build songs fast.
There's no app for iOS that creates or edits soundfonts. It's been asked for on this board before and would be a great option!
Creating SoundFonts would be a killer IAP for something like AudioShare.
+1 for a soundfont creator/editor.

The next app. The editor.
Or as IAP
I have a small program on the PC that edits and makes soundfonts but I never got around to learn it. That"s why it would be nice to have one in IOS cause no one has time anymore to sit on the PC and learn stuff. That is why we all love our gadgets cause we can make music anywhere, anytime.
Devs, you have a market here. Anyone?
