Concur as always.
I am more of an ABForumaholic than appaholic these days
Once a appoholic, always a....
I’ve been getting iOS music apps since Apple released the iPhone 3GS. You might catch a few breaks, pauses here and there. But you’ll eventually be back, backtracking thru the apps you’ve missed out on and, it’s on again. Yay.
It's not working for me, had a quick chat with my sponsor last night, but still iMonopoly is whispering.
LOVE IT!
Need vs Want
As long as you've not left the addiction a lifeline like this you should be OK, for now !

Deep breath, close the store app, move away from the iPad......avoid eye contact with it !
We are actually in dangerous territory now, encouraging each other.......
Lexington, or rather iOdyssei is one of my favourite sounding synths......BUT I don't really use it, unless I am in Gadget, which is pretty much never any more. If it were an AU it would get a LOT of use.
That @Audiogus is a bad man...don't listen to him
Moohoohawhaw!
My comments are addressed to those who are seriously concerned about spending too much money on apps they can’t use and don’t need.
Addiction is frequently a coping mechanism to address unresolved issues in our lives. Even an unhealthy coping mechanism can bring us immediate short term relief yet long term grief as it undermines other aspects of our life. More and more of our life can begin to focus on our addiction to the exclusion of everything else.
Anything can become an addiction, so if buying apps is yours, I recommend seeking help rather than trying to do it all on your own. The nature of addiction is to undermine your ability to control your life and the stronger your addiction becomes, the more challenging it will be to break free of its grasp.
Up until about a year back I’d just buy everything, I dread to think how many drum apps I’ve bought over the last 6 years, yet probably only have two or three actually installed.
I’m cured now though. Got out of the habit this year, and now just buy really cheap, really good, or 100% useful apps.
Today I bought Affinity Designer, which is the donkeys bollocks for vector work, and a steal at £13.99.
Did you get it Andy? Designer will keep me occupied for a bit, but popping over a mates shortly to look at Gadget for the Mac....might be tempted by that one...
But, but, you DO need Soul Keys. Everyone does.....
I too have to ‘fes up to being an Appaholic. I get so fascinated by the things they can do - just gotta get one! I ‘v recently deleted my CC from the App Store to curb these damn impulse buys. I keep thinking I’m going to put together some cool soundscape but so far it is still an elusive fantasy. But - who knows- someday the Muse will come upon me, and by golly, I’ll be READY! 🤪🎻
Managed to resist so far, although I think if I get alcohol involved then I may crack on it.
Thought so!
And then if I do I’ll probably make a tune with it in Gadget, and be like, hmm this is ok after all, and then I’ll start trying to move everything to Cubasis for further recording of guitars etc...and be like...ah maybe not after all.
