Oh man! I got Woodpressor setup tonight with my AUM hardware setup using a Kick drum from the Eurorack into the side chain send channel that's triggered from Pamela's New Workout which is triggered from the DIN sync on the Social Entropy Engine. The sound doesn't route anywhere. It's just a trigger for the compressor. Then I have the receive side chain channel on my master track. Lastly, I stuck an AUM gain plugin in front of the Woodpressor send instance and assigned it a CC on my Launch Control XL so when I want to dial in side chain compression, I just turn up the knob! The beauty of having it connected to Pamela's New Workout is that I can make any pattern I want from the Kick. I can have a straight four to the floor or create a Euclidean rhythm with probability etc... The possibilities are endless! To make it even cooler, I have the Kick drum signal running into Mutable Instruments Clouds which has a nice level meter so I can see the side chain signal without looking at the iPad! I'm a happy camper!

In Cubasis it is also ok - only Audiobus has problems with the sidechaining with Woodpressor...

  • The user and all related content has been deleted.
  • Yes if someone is so kind to post an explanation video of midi triggered sidechain, it would be great.

  • +1 for a video/demo. I cannot figure out how to make this work

  • Sidechain support is out!
