I repeated this with Cubasis and of course everything went well, only the same effect of AUM not saving the MIDI routing.

    Seems to be a bug?

You have to save the preset in AUM too if you want to have all connected the next time you launch the AB3 preset

Worth noting, when sending MIDI from AudioBus over AUM to BeatMaker 3, there is no indication of MIDI arriving at AUM at all - it seems, that the flashing lights are restricted to Audio.

And for MIDI to reach BeatMaker 3, you need to route like this:

I expected "AUM Destination" to be the right source, but no, you need to route "IAA Port 1" to "BeatMaker 3 Virtual".

What that BM "OUT (Audio)" port may be.... no idea

The IAA Port 1 is the Audiobus input (Audiobus is inside AUM as IAA app)
The BM "OUT (Audio)" port is the BM3’s IAA midi port NOT working (the bug I mentioned).

    I tried this too.

Try launching BM3 first, then Audiobus then AUM

But then, BM3 lost its MIDI configuration, as I started it with a new session.

So it seems, it would need to load the right session in BM3 manually, which I part defeats the purpose of the AudioBus preset, that should load everything.

    Will try around with that.

Audiobus can’t magically restore the session, the apps that are hosted must support state saving .

If an app is not AU ,I always check if it supports it before buying .
