    Hope to release by the end of the next week if everything is going fine :)

    Here is what you will get:

    • Two circuits: Env Follower and Trigger Gate (Audio/MIDI fx)
    • Each circuit provides MIDI out (CC/Note) and optional audio transformation
    • Env Follower provides a Noise Gate with threshold, hysteresis and curve smoother
    • Trigger Gate provides a Trance Gate Style fx with optional resolution and patterns
    • Stereo/Mono processing - a slot per channel
    • Fine tuning of each slot; rising and falling time, bias, depth and inverter
    • MIDI IN/OUT support: CC#, channels, int/ext note pitch and scale progression
    • Multi-waveform graph: input signal, env contour, gate signal and threshold
    • iOS Audio Unit V3 - Host tempo sync

    Trigger Gate provides a Trance Gate Style fx with optional resolution and patterns

    When I saw the Trigger Gate vid, I was wondering about patterns. Not sure how that works yet (if it’s just straight 16th - quarter notes - eighth note patterns etc, or varying times/beats during the patterns (for want of a better phrase). If it is varying, will it be possible (now or eventually) for users to design and save their own?

    Pattern - 10x buit-in patterns, each one contains 16 steps
    Resolution - length of one step in the pattern (1/1 to 1/128)!

    I may add a users pattern option but it will requires an editor that won't fit well with the actual design. Maybe later but not for this release for sure :)

    Ha Ha I had a lot of fun doing this section of the video. As the resolution may go up to 1/128 you can get crazy things that I found fit very well on voice :)

    Yes I thought it will defo need an editor that may need more space than those graph windows.
    Maybe they could merge when in edit mode. Just an idea.

    I think an editor may be your number 1 request, after teasing users with the 10 patterns.

    This! Just purchased. Took a while to figure out, looking for a proper voice to MIDI app. Drums into Quanta is satisfying though.

    Tips: The presets are organised by categories: FW for Envelope follower, SQ for sequencing, NG for Noise gate and TG for Trigger gate.

    Route Fac Envolver to @BramBos Ruismaker and select presets SQ BrB Minimal Drum or SQ Brb DUB Style. Those presets are already CC mapped properly to generates notes in Ruismaker range (Scale Sharp).

    First of all, sorry for unburying an old thread...
    Do you know if Fac Envolver could in some way "replace" a breath controller ? For example, if I blow closely in the mic of my Apple headphone set, can the wind noise enveloppe be used to trigger CC11 or is it a totally foolish idea ?
    Of course, I imagine this won't ever replace a true and precise breath controller, but I was wondering anyway.

    Sure. Just needs some testing... blowing and sending the resulting MIDI to MIDI Spy
    can provide some clues. Sending the CC11stream to an app will validate the idea.

    (Interesting related fact) There's an app from Smule that implements an ocarina
    with the finger holes displayed on the screen and you play it with both hands while
    controlling notes by blowing.

    Try it... do you own FAC Envolver? I used it to map table tapping to drum sounds and with
    a Streambyter script I was also able to add a volume control for accented notes. @FredAntonCorvest seemed interested in the idea at the time.

    My experiment is discussed here... but I deleted all the audio examples because I was (at the time) using the finite space SoundCloud.
