Great stuff DMan! Thanks for sharing it. Nice timbral changes along with the other expressive goodness. It seems to me that sounds that evolve/morph or aren’t instantly classifiable by the brain are more interesting. Kinda keeps you on the edge of your seat... but in a relaxing way, if you know what i mean. Also, I kept waiting for the salt lamp near the keyboard to be triggered by the aftertouch or something!

Thanks, yeah if you don’t know you can connect an LED to a MIDI out and aftertouch sends the most amount of voltage. It will light it up somewhat dramatically!

Why would you hate Gadget @DMan ? It’s certainly not without issues but the sounds and rock solid crash free environment must be worth atleast some love right? What if we can get it working with your MPE hack? It would instantly return to the top of my goto list. So far no luck for me.

The reason I hate Gadget is probably mostly because I bought it with high hopes and realized that none of my patches made in standalone will transfer. Then I realized that the patch on my iPad won’t work on my phone, then I got another iPad and this just makes it worse. That is reason enough to get extremely mad at it. Korg needs to get on board with their apps like it’s a piece of their hardware. My Korg N1 from 1998 even has patch import/export. What do they think they are doing with these apps? I’d like a per channel output too like patterning, loopyHD, seekbeats and others do.

That said, I can do all kinds of time signatures, so it might force me to just use it anyway. I’m still planning on trying the MPE hack to work, I just got distracted this weekend. I’ll send an alert when I find if I can or not. I think it should at least work for short range vibrato wiggles.

I did the MPE hack on Gadget a while ago. Using Geo Synth to control multiple instances of Kiev. With filter attached to slide on each note. Worked really well.

By the way, you can now save out all your patches on a particular gadget synth on, say, your iPad and then import them into Gadget, on say, your iPhone or another iPad. This functionality is fairly new. There’s now an import/export button on each Gadgets patch browser area.
