@davis_korgrd the performance features in Electribe, chord pads, mixer, kaos pads, even the little pattern arranger are absolutely brilliant. I would also hope to see some of those make it into Gadget eventually because Gadget is a lot more powerful than the Electribe. Words can’t express the amount of enjoyment I’ve gotten from these apps however. I just want what’s best for them, I don’t care so much about the inter connectivity with other software, just focus on improving performance and sound and workflow and people like myself will continue to fund and support the development.

  • Having lived in Japan the communication on such things is rather different. It's great @davis_korgrd is here and he can forward expectations.
Would be good if people upvote on the link given. So far there is less than 10 upvotes for file import feature.

Since @davis_korgrd mentioned that the 'other' Korg Devs also occasionally drop by here at the AB Forums I'm quite sure they have their eyes on this thread already :) (And well the 'other' Gadget related threads too).

There are so many 'small things' in Electribe Wave that have been mentioned in other Gadget related threads over extended period of time so I would not be surprised if we see them pop up in Gadget at some point :)

The bounce to iTunes is a joy to use on iOS11 since all the exports can be easily fetched using Files.app.

The 'chord pads' have vastly been improved with custom chords (would really love to see this in Gadget) where it's super easy to assign a 'sequencer step' to a 'chord slot' (assign 1-8) and then being able to 'save' the chord set for later use. (Feels like a super natural feature in Gadget with the option to share the 'chord sets' between all Gadgets).

The 'Smooth & Stepped' option for recorded automation would be perfect in Gadget (but extended to be 'per parameter' and not globally for all values for the selected Gadget.

Import of user samples (for synth and drums) and wave-tables(synth) have been mentioned as is the 'wish' to have at least the wave-table synth present as a 'Gadget'. And the additional drum-samples could be made available to the for example Bilbao, Vancouver, Receife and London. (Import using the AudioShare SDK and DocumentPicker/Files.app would be handy here).

For the PCM waves I think I've bumped into a 'bug' (or missing / not yet implemented feature) the 'position' doesn't alter sample-start for PCM-Waves which I feel is it's intended usage?

For the 'Synth Parts' it would be nice to have an additional IFX slot and since the 'engine' seems quite capable it's somewhat limited by the available modulation sources and for the LFO a 'uni-polar' mode when modulating the pitch would be a welcome addition to 'keep things in tune' especially when using one-shot or square wave for pitch modulation.

So far I'm really enjoying Electribe Wave and look forward to how it will evolve :)

maybe @davis_korgrd will say smth about it? I mean not IF but WHEN ;)

I'm not working on Electribe much, so I can't really say what the plan is exactly. We've definitely talked about Gadgetizing, but that's pretty much the extent of my knowledge

Stop this madness :) Instead...bring the Gadgets to Electribe...and enhance the song mode and export so that you can build/perform in Electribe, export to Gadget and finish off in there...that would be a really nice slick workflow.

The clicking when using MONO mode is driving me nuts, but apart from that this is awesome.

Some way to jump to bars and keep a pattern looped in song mode would be great.

Have the app open on the last used pattern.

More banks for presets or some kind of tagging (ie bass, lead etc.)

Drag drop reordering if patterns in the banks.

Little details that aren’t really needed but would help complete the workflow for me anyway.

Midi out and gadget connectivity is resolved.

Some extra cards or preset IAPs for drums and sounds.

Undo on the Utility screen if something is cleared or copied. Same for recording. Counting metronome for recording as well.

  • Thanks for all of your suggestions, it's nice to see that people are so excited about the software.
@mAxjUlien we have, of course, talked about MPE, but there is no plan to implement it currently.

I’m not interested in MPE. How about importing our own drum samples in Electribe Wave?

  • Some way to return values to zero, please (obviously a double tap, like on most other apps these days). As soon as you start playing with the pitch bend in the motion sequencer, for example, you are screeeeeewed at present if you want to go back to normal unless you deactivate all steps!
