Cyber Mehday?
Exactly!
Surprised not much mention of Kaspar here. I decided against Kaspar in favor of LayR, etc. But, just picked it up on sale from $19.99 to $4.99. Only messed with it for a half hour, but liking it so far. Didn't know it's also AUv3. I'm also in the Kauldron camp... like that one too.
Yeah Kaspar is good, only thing is for me it feels a bit unfinished, no AU automation yet and a full screen AU implementation would be better too. Having that morph screen up big would be great. So hopefully it'll get some more updates
btw @Brice did a great soundbank for it last year https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/22123/the-unfriendly-a-free-kaspar-bank-for-your-halloween-souls
Weird world. 80 yesterday, 20 today, 80 tomorrow. But good stuff
Cool. Thanks!
That's a shame .. It has an amazing effects and virtual amp section, the IAP bundle would be worth the price of admission by itself if you could use it with other apps.
It's still worth the money but its somewhat wasted potential. Syntronik is another I'd love to see open up the effects for outboard use.
Quite impressed by Magellan. Probably the best holiday sale season I’ve been through.
Be careful if you’ve got headphones on, Skip! The volume spikes while switching between those presets can be assaulting at times. But also some really cool one-shot FX can be sampled from those glitches
Noted! And thanks for the groovy presets
Last minute reminder Udemy is having a fire sale on everything and there are some really good music tutorial courses that I can vouch for
Great courses but they have been having a fire sale since the day they opened their doors...
oh really? LOL well that’s not a bad thing I suppose
I just grabbed kaspar and Magellan, still on sale and I've wanted kaspar for a long time! Great deal
Wait, do you mean that the course I bought for logic was not actually 95% off?
After months (years actually) of "That's so cool! Do I really need this? Yeah...but maybe..."
I finally broke down and bought iVCS3.
No regrets.
Some of the best knobs on iOS
Yeah, with Udemy think of the $9.99 pricing as their standard price, with periodic "reverse sales" where you can pay $149 (or whatever) for courses. $9.99 happens like once a month or so, with regular $10.99 or $11.99 sales, too. I just wishlist courses I want and then buy however many during a fire sale.
Anybody picked this up yet? Au3 ready?
I'm asking for a refund...
Their courses go on sale every month. For the BF, they had a buy-1-get-1-free offer.
I almost took the plunge with that one, but went with Mood instead.
I think iVCS3 and Stria are the only apes I don’t have.
Anyway, it looks like you are on for some strange fun!
I don’t think I’ve ever used it on a track, but I thoroughly enjoy loading it up, and just losing myself in its bleeping guts for an hour or so.
SOLD: You got me with "bleeping guts". Put that in the iTunes review.
I crave bleeps, bloops and flarps in my toolbox and what's a better bleep generator than your guts. Genius. Trust your gut.
I also owe more love to the this developer's work so I'm trusting it will be a good buy. Still on sale for $8 from $15. I also started with Mood as a first step towards the synths after falling in love with ApeFilter which is a great way to play with the EQ of a track
and make something perfect a just little better or totally re-generate it into something pulsing and insane.
Just like all the Amazing Noises tools for mayhem. I cleaned up in their store in weekend.
Yes, I was kidding!
Careful with Roli Noise IAPs - some packs are not available in AUv3 which is dumb (tap View Details)
There’s a few like this - Synthscaper is another one - where I just enjoy them for their own sake. Saying that though, ApeMatrix works well with the iVCS3 components, so I might take things a bit further in that direction.
It was on sale so I got that one 2. It does sound deep and powerful. I do love a synth where just holding a single note becomes an real experience in wonder.
I picked up iWavestation and it has many notes that act like that
(changing over the life of a note) and just watching the line of waves get triggered is just so much fun. I'm glad someone make the case for adding this app. I had watch some videos and the sounds being used just sounded thin and clunky but one video highlighted the lush "breathy" sounds and I'm a sucker for steam, breath and bottle sounds: sine waves with a hint of air rushing past your ears.
I went through a phase where cosines and tangents were ahead of sines but after some time it just didn't matter: just ups and downs... over and over.
I agree, @McDtracy - I held off on iWavestation before mainly because of the cost and the lack of AU for Korg apps, but I finally caved because they just all sound so damn good.
iWavestation was a shocker - I never really got into the VST I had of it in the Korg Legacy Collection, but the iOS version sounds fantastic. Definitely a good late-80's companion to the iM1. The late 80's/early 90's is my least favorite era of synths, but this app sounds wonderful. Surprised there isn't more love for it here.
@ruggedsmooth sorry, no AU, it's abandonware.
@Daveypoo, sorry no refunds from Hades. Besides, I'm seventy, don't you like vintage?
