Obviously hit a chord or is simply a common thing for folks like us to accumulate/sit around and bullshit about. Not wishing to derail, but which band names from A Clockwork Orange didn’t actually become actual band names in real life, later? Heaven 17 and Moloko did (that are famous enough that people have heard of), but there must be a bunch that nobody’s attempted yet.
I was friends with bands called Lay Quiet Awhile from Lay Quiet Awhile with Ed and Id Molotov and The Blow Gos who are both mentioned in the record store. My friend who sang for The Blow Gos also called himself Johnny Zhivago (another reference)
There was also an 80s LA band called The Droogs.
